Both houses are very nice! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of kids toys which is a nice added bonus. The outdoor area was very spacious.
We had a fantastic time despite some windy weather. This place is one of the nicest I’ve stayed in the Northwoods. So much room inside and a lot of thIngs to do outside.
The cabin was awesome. Each bedroom was unique and fun. We could sit in the great room and look at the lake all day long. The location was great! Best of all was the lake frontage.

Great place, great lake!
Plenty of room for all 10 of us. The children loved the deer coming through and fishing off the pier. The adults loved having morning coffee up on the boat house deck, the privacy, and the sites and sounds of nature on the lake.
Had a terrific time at this property during our extended winter stay. The location on the lake couldn’t be more beautiful, and the cabin was so comfortable and clean! Would def stay here again, and hope to during the summer!

We had a great week at the Loon Nest! It was extremely clean and well equipped. This particular location on the Eagle River chain is fairly quiet with less boat traffic than other lakes. Great spot to swim, Kayak and enjoy all the wildlife.
This property was everything advertised and more. Very clean and well kept. Many thoughtful additions like phone chargers and high speed WiFi. Awesome deck over boathouse; lots of coffee and cocktails on it admiring the quietest lake in the chain! Highly recommend.
Highly recommended. Our entire group was very impressed w/the property and related amenities. It was exactly as described in the listing. The lake is beautiful. The cabin/house is spacious w/a good layout for medium and large size groups. The location is ideal as it is isolated, yet close to surrounding cities/activities.
Hello Michael,
Thank you for taking time to review the property. May I ask what we can improve on in the future to obtain a 5 star rating?

Dream property for making lifelong memories
Our group of four families with several littles had the absolutely most wonderful time at this property making wonderful memories! The two houses were perfect for providing some additional privacy and space where needed and each family had their own space to retreat to. This place is stocked with everything you could imagine, hot water / excellent water pressure, soft towels, comfortable beds, great layout. The outdoor space was better than we could have imagined with a sandy bottom lake that was shallow at the shore and the kids spent days splashing around in. Thank you so much for sharing this beautifully maintained property with us and making it so easy to enjoy and relax. This was my first time booking with Vacasa and won’t be my last!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay. The sleeping accommodations were great for our 11 person crew. The proximity to the lake and the dock were excellent. We didn't use the 2 kayaks (which was a surprise) but my grandkids were all about fishing this time and you could find one or more on the dock throughout the day. Plenty of supplies in the house.
We were very pleased with the Loon Nest property. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook meals, which we didn't really know so we brought things like a crock pot which we didn't need to cause there is one at the house. They had rainy day games and children dvd's which was handy. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and had a couple very friendly deer come by a couple times. It is a very quiet and relaxing property. Beautiful sunsets every night!!
The trip insurance isn’t worth paying for. My group had this home reserved for a snowmobile trip since October. This year Eagle River didn’t have the snow to keep snowmobile trails open The trip insurance allows you to file a claim for lack of snow for ski resorts, but not lack of snow for snowmobiling… none of the snowmobile trails were open. We did want to cancel this trip for the lack of snow, but the insurance said I didn’t have a valid claim so we could get a refund on the house. Trip insurance is garbage so I canceled the insurance policy.
My group ended up going since we couldn’t get a refund. The house is a great house and we were very happy with the whole set up! The nut house on the property is very nice, but some of the guys said the water pressure for shower is very low and the shower water was COLD. It didn’t stay warm long. That was minor, but just thought I would say that to address this issue. All in all great house, and will go back to this house hopefully next year when or if there is snow! Insurance needs to adjust the policy for this was a valid reason to cancel our snowmobile trip if we couldn’t snowmobile.
