Our house is located right in the centre of Markt Berchtesgaden, very close to the pedestrian zone on a quiet side street. A deciduous forest borders the back of the property. The ground floor (with a ground-level entrance at the rear that also leads to the second floor) houses the owner’s apartment, and the second floor features two self-contained holiday apartments (one 70 square metres, one 50 square metres; both non-smoking). A beautiful, partially covered terrace is the perfect place to wind down in the afternoon. The building also features a two-car garage and a large front yard (free parking). The front of the house (balconies of the holiday apartments) faces east, and the side faces south. At the rear of the building, there is a terraced meadow and garden with a garden shed, followed by a deciduous forest. The house was thoroughly modernised and furnished in 2003.
Bright, welcoming non-smoking rooms: living room with balcony, bedroom with balcony, kitchen-living room with loggia, bathroom with tub, toilet; total area approx. 70 square metres. The bedroom (east-facing) is furnished in a rustic style with a double bed (mattress made of natural latex foam); the living room (east- and south-facing) is furnished with a sofa set, cable TV, and radio. There is also a cosy wood-burning stove here. The kitchen-diner, featuring a rustic corner bench set, includes a built-in cabinet with a refrigerator and freezer compartment, a microwave, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, an egg cooker, and a 4-burner electric stove with an oven. The living room and kitchen-diner have hardwood floors, while the other living areas are carpeted. All rooms can be heated via a central, modern natural gas heating system controlled by thermostats. Free Wi-Fi is available.
From the balcony of the holiday apartments, you have a direct view of the Obersalzberg and Kehlstein, Hohes Brett, and Jenner. The house is heated by a modern natural gas-solar heating system. The pedestrian zone is 50 metres away; bus stops, the taxi rank, and the Kur- und Kongresshaus are all within a 3-minute walk.
