Wake to vineyard rows stretching outside your window while morning light filters through the farmhouse. This playful 3-bedroom retreat brings color and fun to wine country — ping pong in the converted barn, bocce ball on the lawn, sunset dinners on the covered deck. Room for 6 with a fully equipped kitchen perfect for farmers' market finds. Just 2 miles from Healdsburg Plaza and minutes from Aperture Cellars. Your wine country escape comes with all the games — and all the views.
The Space:
Spend mornings under the porch as vineyard rows catch the first light, afternoons among Healdsburg Plaza's tasting rooms and SingleThread, and evenings on the patio with a glass from the day's barrel-room visits.
Board games sit at hand around the wood-burning fireplace in the main family room; a second living area sets orange leather sofas beneath a painted-brick fireplace and exposed beams. A retro-style fridge and ample counter open the kitchen for prepping Healdsburg farmers' market hauls, flowing into dining inside and out on the covered deck. Out back, the converted barn is the wildcard — exposed trusses soar above a ping-pong table and built-in bookshelves, with a roll-up garage door that erases the line between indoors and out.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Step outside to discover multiple entertainment zones. The covered deck offers outdoor dining beneath bright orange metal chairs on a colorful striped rug. Challenge your group to bocce ball on the regulation court with its sandy surface and wooden rails. The converted barn steals the show — exposed ceiling beams and trusses soar above a blue ping-pong table, an orange sofa, and built-in bookshelves, with a roll-up garage door that opens to blur the line between indoors and out.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests. The primary bedroom offers a king bed with views overlooking the property. The second bedroom features a queen bed with white bedding. The third bedroom provides two twin beds with yellow accent pillows and large windows framing vineyard views.

The Neighborhood:
Your farmhouse sits in the heart of Healdsburg wine country, surrounded by working vineyards just 2 miles from the historic Plaza. Walk next door (0.2 mi) to taste at Aperture Cellars, or explore nearby Christopher Creek Winery (0.5 mi) and Merriam Vineyards (0.6 mi). The famous Foppiano Vineyards, family-owned since 1896, is just 0.6 miles away. When hunger strikes, Healdsburger serves gourmet burgers 1.8 miles away, while TISZA BISTRO (2.1 mi) offers European comfort food with schnitzel and spätzle. The charming Healdsburg Plaza (2.3 mi) anchors downtown with tasting rooms, galleries, and the Saturday farmers' market. Stock up on provisions at Estrella's Market & Taqueria (1.8 mi) or grab morning coffee at Ana's Cafe & Espresso (1.8 mi).
Getting Around:
Healdsburg is about 75 minutes from San Francisco via US-101 North — a straight, scenic drive into the heart of Sonoma wine country. You'll find ample free parking for up to 5 vehicles on the property, including EV charging. A car is the easiest way to take in the three valleys that meet here — Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.
Other Things to Note:
The home stays naturally cool thanks to cross-ventilation and shade trees, with air conditioning available for warmer days. Internet runs at 32 mb/s download speed, perfect for streaming. The primary renter must be 25 or older. Take advantage of the free EV charger — it works with both Tesla and CCS1 plugs. The converted barn game room is a special treat — roll up the garage door for indoor-outdoor ping pong matches. Don't miss sunset from the picnic tables by the bocce court. For the best farmers' market experience, visit Healdsburg Plaza on Saturday mornings starting in April. The property's one-acre setting means you'll enjoy privacy and quiet, with only the occasional tractor passing by during harvest season.

This house was so cute and in the perfect location close to downtown Healdsburg and to the wineries. The bonus garage/game room was a cool extra place for us to hang out. Very clean and enjoyable
The only issue is that the stay wasn’t long enough!
There are so many things to do on and around this property that we didn’t have enough time to do it all. We would love to go back.

The house is stunning, clean and updated. Private location, yet very close to downtown. The amenities are outstanding. Bocce, ping-pong, basketball all a hit. I will definitely stay here again for the next Healdsburg trip!

Excellent property with great location
The property, amenities and location are excellent. It sits in a vineyard (vines on two sides of the property). There is a wonderful outdoor space (bocce ball, sitting area, picnic tables, lime trees, apple trees...). It also has a great location (about a mile south of Healdsburg) and almost across the street from Rodney Strong (a personal favorite).
We had a great stay at Bird and Barrel. The property is set up for groups with multiple areas to relax and hang out. The home is beautiful and well appointed. The outdoor space is great - lots of games and seating areas. The property is surrounded by vineyards on a quiet road and is a short drive To Healdsburg. It is a great place to relax after a busy day in wine country.
Everything about this property was outstanding! Spotless, well equipped, comfortable, spacious, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, easy access to the freeway while being tucked away in the vineyard, bocce, ping pong, ample outdoor seating. We were blown away! Every detail was thought of and provided. We loved the natural light throughout. Comfortable beds and plenty of linens. This will be our home away from home when we visit Sonoma County!
Very nice remodeled farm style home. Great game room with ping pong, bocce ball court, and basketball outside. We thought we had an issue with something and communications with the management company were immediate and solved the issue, Vacasa is excellent to work with. Comfortable master bed. A little noise from the main road fairly close to house was present but it didn’t detract from the stay.

We loved Bird & Barrel!
We were a group of 4 women looking for a unique place to stay in Healdsburg near the plaza and near J Vineyards where we had a wine tasting. It was the perfect spot and we would definitely book again! The kitchen had everything plus outside on the patio there was an armoire with outdoor wine glasses, wine bucket, and other table accessories. We went to the farmers market and picked up bread, cheese, tomatoes, avocados, cantaloupe, and basil and made a spread that we ate outside for lunch. We played ping pong and listened to old records on the record player. There’s also a badminton net, basketball goal and bocce ball court. We had so much fun!
