Inside, this remodeled cottage sleeps six: two bedrooms with queen beds, plus a queen sleeper sofa in the light-filled living room. The kitchen is stocked for everything from morning coffee at the built-in coffee bar to a lakeside dinner, and the single bath keeps everyone refreshed. Central heat and air keep it just right year-round.

Evenings are the magic here — gather at the gas fire pit on the deck, or build a real campfire at the wood-burning pit down by the water. Whether you come to fish, boat, kayak, or watch the herons glide across a still morning lake, The Little House invites you to slow down and stay a while.

What a beautiful home! My family really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little retreat. This home has a natural relaxing feeling due to the amazing lake view from the large deck. The rooms and amenities are laid out perfectly and make the home feel extremely comfortable. My son and I enjoyed using the kayaks out on the lake, and my wife and I enjoyed morning coffee with the cool morning breeze off of the lake. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the KC metro. It is close enough to the city to be able to enjoy the city, but then easily slip away to this cozy home to relax. The property management and host were extremely easy to work with making the stay stress free.
