Glorious historical home in the center of Baldwin City, Kansas home of Baker University. The house was built in 1902 as the first fraternity Delta Tau Delta. In 1912 the house became the first chapter house for the Zeta Tau Alpa sorority of BU. It has been the family home of Dr. Ray and Olivia Jones since 1963 and continues to be owned by their only daughter, Carolyn "Ruthie" Goldey.
The house has a large kitchen, dinette, bathroom, first-floor bedroom and bath, dining room with attached library, large living room area with a grand piano, screened-in porch, and grand foyer. The second floor has a full library study, four large bedrooms, bath. The third floor is for private family use. TWO BATHROOMS...one on first floor and one on second floor!
The yard is full of old Pinoaks and White Oak, Red Maple, Silver Maple and a Missississippi Magnolia planted by Oliva from her beloved home state. An arbor in the back of the house graces a 70 year old Concord Grape plant.
