When you need some time to rest and recharge, a stay at Chateau Relaxo is sure to refill your soul! Take in the island air from the covered or screened porch, gather around the firepit as the kids and dogs (up to two are accepted per stay) play in the fenced backyard, or enjoy the outdoor game room complete with basketball, darts and pool.

Located in the heart of Oak Island, getting around is truly a breeze when you rent the optional four-seater golf cart for an additional fee of $450 a week. For guests using the golf cart during their stay, a parking pass is attached to the cart that covers the town's parking fee when parking in designated public parking spots around the island.

Gather together in the living room, where you can put your feat up in the reclining loveseat while the kids pile onto the couch to stream a favorite movie. The eye-catching wood slab dining table seats six comfortably, although bench seating along one side provides some flexibility, and four additional bar stools are available at the breakfast counter. The gleaming modern kitchen is open to the rest of the living space and fully equipped with everything you need to cook during your trip. Just off the kitchen, the conveniently located laundry closet with full size washer and dryer keeps you from having to haul wet swimsuits and towels back home!

Each bedroom in the home is equipped with its own wall-mounted Smart TV, so there’s no need to argue over the remote when it’s time to settle down for the evening. The first two bedrooms are each furnished with a queen bed and share hall access to a full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo. The back right bedroom offers a queen bed as well as a twin daybed with a twin trundle underneath. The attached bath offers double sinks, a tub/shower combo and enough space to help little ones make sure all the sand is rinsed off. Directly across the hall, the primary suite features a king bed and a small desk with mirror that can function as a workspace or a vanity. The private en suite bathroom also offers double sinks as well as a large step-in glass and tile shower. There is also a twin roll-away bed available if needed by your group.

From the covered front porch, watch the island breeze rustle the leaves of the surrounding oaks as you sway on the porch swing or relax on the loveseats. Or start your morning with a quick five-minute walk to OKI Scoop Shop and Donuts just around the corner and then enjoy your morning coffee and sweet treats at the bistro table and captain’s chairs on your screened porch. Both porches are equipped with ceiling fans to add to your comfort. Just off the screened porch, a small open deck offers a gas grill and a small outdoor dining table seating four if you prefer meals alfresco.

In the shady and cool area underneath the home, you’re sure to spend hours together playing in the outdoor game room! See who has the best aim with a game of electronic darts, go head-to-head to see who can score the most hoops in the arcade-style basketball shooting station, or organize a nightly family pool tournament that lasts for your entire stay. When you need a break from all that activity, settle into the color Polywood Adirondack chairs around the firepit for s’mores and stories. The backyard is fully fenced so that babies and fur-babies can play safely.

The backyard also offers an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The double shower head with wand makes getting all the sand off as easy as can be, and the gorgeous stained-glass window adds a touch of whimsy. The home also features an enclosed staircase to access the living level, with a convenient half bath located on the ground level foyer to the stairwell, along with storage for beach equipment and towels and several seats perfect for removing sandy shoes before heading upstairs. Please note that the exterior lift is for luggage and groceries only.

When it is time to hit the beach, the closest public beach accesses are less than half a mile away, roughly a 10-minute walk or three-minute drive. This prime location is also in easy walking and driving distance of a number of local restaurants, Middleton Park, a grocery store and more.
