The stay wasn’t amazing, but it was okay. The description of the “house” wasn’t very accurate. The “house” ended up being an upstairs apartment at the top of a large flight of stairs. It was very difficult for my disabled mother to go up and down the stairs to take her dog outside- it would have been nice to know in the description that this would be an obstacle. Additionally, the driveway leading to parking at the back of the house was very narrow and difficult to maneuver in our rented SUV. We parked in the parking space behind the house, but it was so difficult to get the car back out into the driveway that we eventually started parking on the street. We also damaged the front end of our rental car trying to get out of the driveway, which was very upsetting. The actual apartment was relatively nice and well-furnished. The queen bed was very comfortable for my mother; the king bed was uncomfortable and hard and there were only 2 pillows other than those used for decorative purposes. All of the bedroom curtains were very thin, therefore the street lights at night and the sunlight in the morning made getting a good night’s sleep challenging. The balcony pictured in the listing was inaccessible- there was a sign on the door stating that the balcony was not able to bear weight. There was nowhere to sit outside or enjoy the surrounding views. The floors were also dirty and in need of a good mopping. Overall, not a terrible stay but there are definitely areas to improve.
