About this property

Wild West Hideout - Private Pool - Poker Saloon - Game Room - Spacious

Saddle up...this one's different. Our all-inclusive western estate in Tempe sleeps 16 in style: upscale Sonoran furnishings, a dedicated Saloon with a real poker table and fireplace, and a game room loaded with Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, foosball, and ping pong. Out back, a humongous pool, fire pit, BBQ, and endless outdoor furniture to keep the whole crew comfortable under the Arizona sky.

As you pull into the quiet Tempe cul-de-sac the house announces itself before you’re out of the car. A stone edged archway, twelve-foot organic pipe cacti reaching toward a wide-open desert sky, and the kind of residential street that makes you exhale before you’ve even touched the door handle.

Step inside and a ten-foot silhouette cowboy rides across the back wall of the game room, frozen mid-gallop against a blazing yellow Arizona sunset. Two separate living zones spread out from there, so whether your group numbers six or sixteen, nobody's fighting for seating. This 2,500 sq ft, 5-bedroom, 3-bath home was built to hold a crowd, and hold it comfortably.

The kitchen is where mornings start. Picture the early risers already at the quartz waterfall island, coffee bar running, the smell of breakfast moving through an open floor plan big enough to actually move around in. Blue subway tile, an exposed wood beam overhead, stainless steel everything, and a farmhouse table that seats twelve because nobody came all the way to Arizona to eat in shifts.

When the sun dips below the McDowell Mountains and turns the sky every shade of pink and orange it can manage, the backyard is where everyone lands. The crystal clear pool glows under the lights, teal lounge chairs circle the gas fire pit, and the smell of burgers and hot dogs coming off the BBQ drifts across the whole yard. The kids already claimed the pool loungers. The wicker sectional on the turf island has the best view of the sunset, and everyone knows it. Cornhole boards are set up. This is the surreal evening your group has been talking about all year.

But first – the Saloon.

Behind French doors that open straight to the pool sits a dedicated poker room with an octagonal felt-top table for eight, a fireplace, and vintage playing-card prints above the mantel. This isn't a corner of a living room with a card table, it's a room built for exactly one purpose: the best poker night your group has ever had. Chips on the table. Smack talk starting. French doors cracked open to the warm desert night. The hand is dealt.

The game room keeps the energy going: foosball, ping pong, and a full-size Mortal Kombat and Pac-Man arcade games. The kind of setup where someone wanders in for five minutes and doesn't come out for two hours. Every bedroom carries the western theme through – Pendleton-style bedding, longhorn and bison canvases, hotel-quality linens, and blackout curtains so the group sleeps as long as Arizona will let them. Three full bathrooms all share a clean marble and blue-glass-mosaic aesthetic. Nobody's waiting long.

Families, friend groups, sports teams in town for a tournament — this home was designed for the kind of trip that gets talked about when everyone's back home wishing they were still here.

About the host

Host profile image
My name is Jeremy Holden and I operate this rental with my brother Max. We are family-run and family-oriented rental operators. Our mission and goal are to curate a one-of-a-kind experience leaving you with a lifetime of memories. We understand our guests work for their vacations, so we make sure all the little details from onsite entertainment, technology, and kitchen essentials... are all included. We want our guests to enjoy their time at our home, not at the general store.

A little bit about our family! We love dogs having rescued two golden retrievers from a mill in Tennessee! We are also very big hockey folk. (Let's go Islanders!) Hospitality is the core of our background. Max and I have a breadth of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry which has taught us to put our guests at the center of the experience! We look forward to hosting you!

Why they chose this property

South Tempe checks every box. It's one of the most centrally located pockets in the entire Valley - quiet enough to feel like a true escape, but connected enough that everything you came to Arizona for is within easy reach.

For families, you're minutes from Tempe Town Lake, Golfland Sunsplash, and the kind of safe, tree-lined streets where the kids can decompress between adventures. For friend groups, Mill Avenue's dining and nightlife is a short drive, Old Town Scottsdale is right down the road, and Top Golf is practically around the corner. For sports crews, every Spring Training stadium in the Valley is a straight freeway shot (Sloan Park, Hohokam, Diablo, and beyond), making Alder the perfect home base to return to after a long day at the ballpark.

Sky Harbor International Airport is under ten minutes away, so the trip starts and ends without the stress of a long haul from the airport. And when the day is done and everyone's back at the house, the neighborhood delivers exactly what you want. Peaceful, residential, and quiet enough that the loudest thing on the street is your own group around the fire pit.

What makes this property unique

Most vacation homes in the Valley give you a pool and call it a day.

Our home was built with a different question in mind...what does a group of sixteen actually need to have the kind of trip they'll still be talking about six months from now?

The answer starts with the Saloon. A dedicated poker room with an octagonal felt-top table for eight, a working gas fireplace, vintage playing-card prints above the mantel, and french doors that open straight to the pool. This isn't a folding card table tucked into a corner, it's a room built for exactly one purpose, and it shows.

The western theme runs through every inch of the house with genuine design intent. From the stone-edged Romanesque archway entry and towering organ pipe cacti out front, to the ten-foot silhouette cowboy mural anchoring the great room, to the running-horse bedding, longhorn canvases, and Pendleton-style throws in every bedroom. This is a cohesive, thoughtfully designed space, not a costume.

The game room adds another layer - full-size Mortal Kombat cabinet, Pac-Man bartop arcade, foosball, and ping pong, so when the poker table fills up, nobody's sitting around waiting for something to do. The backyard keeps pace with a crystal-clear private pool, gas fire pit, BBQ, cornhole, a whiskey-barrel picnic table under a covered patio, and a wicker sectional on a turf island that catches the McDowell Mountain sunset better than anywhere else on the property.

Sixteen guests. Endless ways to fill the hours. One house that ties it all together.
