About this property

Charming 2-Bd House In Historic Philadelphia Neighborhood

Welcome to my home!

Enjoy a peaceful stay at a 2-bedroom house located in an historic part of Philadelphia (guests will have access to the entire home).

The space features a living area, a dedicated dining room, full kitchen, an office suite that connects to the main bedroom, washer/dryer, 1-1/2 bathrooms and two bedrooms with a queen bed and a futon. There's also a back deck for casual entertainment, and a cozy front porch perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the philly food scene and touring the birthplace of America.

Nestled in the quiet but lively Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, guests will find the space to be comfortable, convenient and well-equipped, in a thriving community atmosphere just mintues away from the famous Wissahickon Valley Park, Art Galleries, stops along the Underground Railroad, and easy access to other Philadelphia neighborhoods worthy of exploring.

Local grocery stores are within walking distance. Hospitals and pharmacies are also nearby. You can stroll down the cobblestoned streets of Chestnut Hill to shop local small businesses and boutiques, and there's plenty of public transportation also within walking distance from the house to access concert events and other activities downtown (e.g., buses, trains, and car services like Uber and Lyft).

With central air conditioning and heating to combat summer heat and winter cold, this will be your home away from home. I am also local, and will be nearby to accommodate your needs.

About the host

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I bought my home in 2020, and it has become my own sacred space nestled in a really cute neighborhood!

As a milennial remote worker, I enjoy hanging out at my favorite cafes (High Point, Char and Stave - Whisky and Coffee, Chestnut Hill Roasters), hiking in the Wissahickon, and heading downtown to visit my closest friends.

Why they chose this property

Mt. Airy is recognized as one of the first successfully integrated neighborhoods in America, and is very diverse. Founded in the 1700s, large three-story, gray-stone Victorian, colonial revival, and Norman and Cotswold-style houses and mansions, with stained glass windows and slate roofs, are situated on many of the area's tree-lined streets.

Our community prides itself on its history, and there are a ton of different activities to engage - from visiting numerous art studios to checking out stops along the underground railroad (The "John Johnson Historic Site" is just 2 miles away).

Everyone is friendly, the neighborhood is very walkable, and it's a nice (and short) distance from the busy streets of downtown philly.

What makes this property unique

My property is unique because it is big inside, yet has a simple and quaint comfort. I'm proud of my home and I hope that you will enjoy your stay.
