Guests can unwind in the comfortable living room, which features stunning views of the adjacent wetlands and Galveston Bay. The living room also includes cozy full-sized sofa bed. Two bathrooms offer both a bathtub and a shower, making it easy to refresh after a day at the beach or pool. The condo stays comfortable year-round with heating and AC. Whether relaxing and enjoying spectacular sunsets on the balcony; or enjoying the beach, this wonderful space provides a perfect home base during your Gulf Coast getaway. Enjoy the Bay and the fire pit and charcoal grill - all just steps away from your home away from home. Also enjoy two pools, gym, game room, pickle ball court, basketball court, and private restaurant & bar - all located on the Pointe West resort property. Book now and enjoy everything this condo has to offer! Sunset Perch is in the Pointe West resort community. Guests are required to wear wristband when accessing the pool(s), game room, and fitness center. Wristbands may be purchased for $25.00 each and guests may pick up their wristbands at the Beach Club upon check-in. WRISTBAND POLICY
The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity.

I was born and raised in Houston, but over the past 20 years, I raised our own children in San Antonio. Now that we are empty nesters, I wanted to get back in touch with my roots when I spent so much time on Galveston Island as a child and a teenager. I really enjoy balancing my time between our home in San Antonio and our island retreat on the bay and the beach! It is such a blessing to share this space with others who seek a coastal getaway!

From the Sunset Pool with its lazy river, zero entry and hot tub, to the Beach Club with the infinity pool, game room, fitness club and poolside service serving cocktails and sandwiches and sharables , Pointe West offers a total vacation experience during the spring and summer that makes our condo a true vacation destination. In the fall and winter, guests enjoy a peaceful place to enjoy the coastal wetlands and beach and bay wildlife that thrives on the western end of the island.

What makes this property unique

Hands down, what makes Sunset Perch stand out from other condos in Galveston, and even in Pointe West, are the views! We are on the third floor and are right on the bay with all of the north-facing windows and balcony providing breathtaking unobstructed views of Galveston Bay. All of the east-facing windows look out on protected wetlands that are adjacent to the property. On any given day, guests are treated to a front row seat to watch brown pelicans fishing, cranes and ibis perched along the shore, cottontail rabbits moving on and out of the wetland habitat, and sometimes, even a pair of Galveston Ghost Wolves running through the wetlands and splashing in the shallow bay, below.
