Welcome to your Smith Lake getaway. Our beautifully designed home blends high-end comfort with laid-back lake living, featuring Restoration Hardware furniture throughout the house.

Two spacious living areas provide fully equipped kitchens and space for the whole family to spread out. With Large seating areas and smart TVs on both levels you can enjoy an evening with friends while the kids play games or watch movies.

Step outside to enjoy your own private dock—perfect for swimming, boating, or soaking in the waterfront views. Kayaks and Paddle boards are available for your use while staying with us. Only a 10min boat ride or drive from Trident Marina where you can rent a boat, enjoy live music or grab a delicious meal.

This luxury escape is the perfect family destination for everyone.

My Wife and I are both from Florida and moved to Alabama for work. We missed the tranquility of the water and wanted a way to relax on our days off of work. We found Smith Lake through friends and couldn't wait to find our own slice of paradise. We were blessed to find a great home with high end amenities. We enjoy hosting because we want to share our home with everyone and help bring them the same relaxation that it brings us.

Why they chose this property

Bear Pen in Crane Hill is an excellent community which is close to Birmingham (roughly 1 hour), Huntsville (1hr 15-30min), and Nashville (2 hours). It has a private boat ramp to deploy our boat and is only a 10 minute drive or boat ride from Trident marina where we love to get food. The neighborhood is easily walkable and offers amazing views throughout. We enjoy running and biking through the area where there is little traffic so the little ones can be free. The street we are on is also a dead end and as such has no through traffic for us to worry about.

What makes this property unique

Our home offers two complete living areas, including fully equipped kitchens with all amenities needed for a luxurious dinner or something simple to enjoy on the porches. Each level also offers a massive porch overlooking the emerald green waters of Smith Lake, each porch has its own seating area, one with a relaxing setup for gathering and enjoying time, the other with a full outdoor dinner table. Additionally we have a fully screened in patio with a wood burning fireplace and Smart TV for enjoying the big game outside while still enjoying the beautiful lake scenery. We also have a large dock equipped with kayaks, floats, paddle boards, and several teak chairs for relaxing.
