About this property

Pet-Friendly Plymouth Stay: Nature, Privacy, Spacious, and close to the Cities!

Welcome to my Hi-Fi Wi-Fi Plymouth Stay—a place where premium indoor entertainment meets a peaceful, natural escape on a beautifully wooded acre of land. This property operates strictly within Plymouth city ordinances as a compliant, owner-occupied hosted stay, but is architecturally designed to offer you the experience of a completely private home. Occupancy is capped at two guests.

The Vibe, Transparency & Total Seclusion:
When you book, you are securing the expansive main and upper levels of the home and the large fenced backyard. To ensure your absolute privacy while remaining legally compliant, I reside on-site in a completely separate, locked-off lower-level suite.

I will have my own private exterior entrance via the garage and a dedicated side-yard dog run for my three dogs (two small non-shedding pups, and a medium rescue named Bruce). We will not share interior living spaces, and my dogs will not encroach on your backyard sanctuary. I intentionally keep out of your way to allow for maximum seclusion, but I am available if you need a local guide, chauffer, or property assistance.

Neighborhood & Local Culture:
While the property feels like a secluded wilderness retreat, you are incredibly connected to the best of the city. Downtown Plymouth is only a mile away, and a straight-shot drive puts you in the heart of downtown Minneapolis in just 25 minutes. If you want to explore the local scene, you are minutes from my favorite neighborhood staples:

Morning Coffee & Pastries: Head over to TOUS les JOURS for incredible French-Asian baked goods, or grab a classic breakfast at Dufner's Deli.
Lunch, Cocktails & Atmosphere: The Fox and Pantry is a local favorite—a brilliant artisan cafe, boutique, and cocktail bar perfect for an afternoon outing.
Live Entertainment: We are right down the road from the Hilde Performance Center. This stunning open-air amphitheater hosts free outdoor concerts, community festivals, and the Minnesota Orchestra throughout the summer.

Main-Level Living & Premium Audio:
You have full access to the remodeled, wide-open kitchen, perfect for prepping a meal while keeping the conversation flowing. The upstairs living room is equipped with a Martin Logan premium surround sound setup and whole-house HEOS audio. Cranking some vinyl with the single vaulted ceilings creates an incredible, concert-like feel.

While my private office is off-limits, you will have access to three fully furnished bedrooms. For our guests, this provides incredible flexibility—whether you prefer separate sleeping quarters, a dedicated reading room, workout room, or simply plenty of space to spread out your gear.

The Landscape & Architecture:
Built in 1965, this well-made home features beautiful Swedish-style hallmarks and a massive structural beam. I am a naturalist at heart, currently converting the landscape to Minnesota-native pollinating perennials. Because the house is situated on a hill across a full acre of land with mature oak trees, the backyard, porches, and deck are nearly completely hidden. It’s a rustic, private space perfect for watching the sunset or having a bonfire.

Note on security: There are cameras pointed at the gated entrances (north and south sides) and the front door; all footage is stored locally. The house interior, the porches, and the entire guest backyard are 100% camera-free. Your privacy is my priority.

It was perfect! Brent was able to communicate very well with items we needed clarification with. The only downfall for us was hot tub/pool was down, but definitely didnt damper our stay!

About the host

Hosted by Brent Hovland

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Brent! I’m a Minnesota local, resident of Plymouth for 10 years, a special education teacher, and a naturalist who loves building things from the ground up—whether it's a treehouse, zip line, fine-tuning a high-fidelity sound system, or tackling my next DIY home project.
I’m a firm believer in the "lived-in" charm of a real home, and I love sharing my place with travelers who appreciate that same authentic, quality vibe. When guests are staying at the house, you’ll often find me right next door in my RV, currently working on a restoration project or prepping for my next camping trip.
I’m a big believer in respecting your privacy, but I’m around if you need a recommendation or help. My hope is to have my home give you a feeling like it’s yours, and my goal is to make sure you have a fantastic, stress-free stay.

Why they chose this property

Plymouth offers the perfect balance of peaceful, nature-filled living and easy access to great local amenities. I love that we are just minutes away from a fantastic network of trails, parks, and lakes—perfect for loading up a kayak for a quick afternoon escape. At the same time, you get a vibrant local community feel, like hitting up the renowned Plymouth Farmer's Market or catching free seasonal live music downtown. We even have an Asian fusion French bakery that is a must try for coffee and treats. It's a quiet, suburban retreat that never feels too far from the action.

What makes this property unique

The Audiophile’s Sanctuary & Tech Playground
This isn’t just a rental; it’s a high-fidelity playground. I’ve curated a multi-room audio experience that lets you explore different sonic profiles throughout the house. From the NHT and KEF setups to the precision of Martin Logan and the warmth of Jamo, every room is a new listening experience—all clearly labeled so you can dial in your perfect sound.
Visual & Gaming Immersion
When you’re not listening, you’re watching. With a 85-inch television and a dedicated home theater room featuring reference-grade processing, the immersion is absolute. Whether you’re gaming or watching a movie, the 10-gigabit fiber grid ensures it’s all high speed
Playtime for Everyone
I believe a home should be fun, so the space is stocked with a massive library of board games (all visible in the photos and ready for your next tournament). Need a break from the screens? The dining table converts instantly into a pool and ping-pong arena.
The Natural Contrast
The magic of Kingsview is the balance. You have this, high-tech indoor environment, but step outside and you’re in a quiet, secluded forest-like setting. It’s a native Minnesota perennial sanctuary designed for true decompression. You’re getting the best of both worlds: tech and audio entertainment inside, and a peaceful, natural escape right out the back door. Check out the video tour, see for yourself.
