This 3-bedroom cottage is perfect for your escape up north. Guests will find a cozy living room overlooking the beautiful Ocqueoc lake. Enjoy an elevated deck for fresh air from the living room or walk out the finished basement to enjoy the lake from the dock. The home shines with beautifully vibrant sunsets on the water. Housing three bedrooms this cottage will fit the whole family. The primary bedroom on the main floor hosts a king bed. Bedrooms two and three on the second floor feature a queen and a full bed. The basement boasts an additional living room with cozy seating for all. Additionally, the two sofas in the basement are pullout beds. Ocqueoc lake is a pristine 130 acre no wake lake which the river passes through. The lake reaches depths of over 30 feet. Relax and enjoy a leisured ride on the provided kayak or canoe. There is ample state land around providing excellent opportunities for hiking. The other half of the lake is nearly entirely state land creating a picturesque view. Bald Eagles frequently fly over the lake, and in the nearby forests deer, coyotes, bobcats, and bear have been seen. After a long day enjoying nature relax and tell stories around a campfire. For the fisherman, Ocqueoc lake is known for its variety of fish, such as, Bluegill, Yellow Perch, Rock Bass, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed, Black Crappie, and Northern Pike. It is most well-known for its Pike. There is a public boat launch if interested in bringing a larger boat. This location is only 10 minutes from Lake Huron, 15 minutes from 40-mile point lighthouse, 55 minutes from the Mackinac bridge, 16 minutes from Hoeft State Park, 20 minutes from black lake, and 11 minutes from Ocqueoc falls; the largest waterfall in the lower peninsula. Ocqueoc falls are a must-see location, providing wonderful swimming. Perfectly situated in the heart of the northern lower peninsula.
