Swim, windsurf, and sunbathe all summer long at this York cottage - a family-friendly Maine escape with a private patio and an unbeatable location about a block from Long Sands Beach!

The perfect retreat for a family or a group of couples, this quaint, two-story cottage situates you within walking distance of the sand and waves. Take sunrise walks along the shoreline toward the Nubble Light to the north, watch the boats come and go from York Harbor two miles south, and sample the darling eateries in the York Historic District one mile west.

Greet the morning sun in the remodeled living space, where you'll find free WiFi, window air-conditioning units (in the living room and three bedrooms), and a country kitchen with double ovens to assist with breakfast. In the summer, grab the beach chairs and a towel from the washer/dryer on your way out the door, and return home for lunch on the gas grill (available seasonally), a board game on the patio, and a movie or two in the living room on the cable TV.

Super comfortable and clean. Attention to detail where amenities and convenience were concerned was remarkable. Lovely beach theme decor, we kept finding charming details all weekend! Pictures on VRBO site were completely accurate. Kitchen appliances were clean and all were functional. It was easy to function in even with multiple people in the space. Beach was remarkably close and easy to reach. Host was responsive to a minor issue we reported and it was dealt with promptly. We were quite comfortable and happy staying here and are already talking about how much we would love return for another stay.

Clean , comfortable beds , great kitchen table to hang around . Not much curb appeal, didn’t realize from pictures and description that houses were 2 feet apart. Good for winter when no one else is there, but would never stay there in summer . Convenient to lots of places to hike , snowshoe . Most of the restaurants close in the winter . Overall fine for what we were looking for !

Charming cottage

We enjoyed staying in the cottage. The location is ideal for exploring the sights in Southern Maine. Beds were comfortable and the place was spacious for our group of four women. Beach was less than a block away.

Yoga Retreat

This was a perfect location for a small yoga retreat. The house was perfect, and the living room was the perfect size to set up our yoga classes. It was wonderful to be within walking distance of the ocean and we wouldn’t love to stay at this house again!
