Welcome to Küstersmatt, our small, idyllic cottage tucked away on a quiet private road. Nestled in a large, green garden, it’s just a few steps from the North Sea. Here you can breathe in the fresh sea air, listen to the sound of the waves, and feel the peace that only nature can offer. From the garden, you can see the islands of Spiekeroog and Wangerooge—a view that instantly makes you forget your everyday life.

The house itself is small, cosy, and charmingly aged—exactly what gives it its special character. Spanning 80 m², it accommodates up to five guests in two bedrooms: a cosy double bedroom (140x200 mattress), a children’s room with three single beds (90x200 mattress), a living room full of cosy nooks, and a kitchen with a dining area where breakfast becomes a cosy ritual. The bathroom with a shower and the separate toilet round out the amenities.

Read a book in an armchair, enjoy the sun on the terrace, or listen to the birds chirping in the garden. For families, a cot, washing machine, and bike shed are available. Everything you need to leave everyday life behind is right here.

Just a few minutes from the small village of Minsen, near Schillig and Horumersiel, you’ll experience peace, nature, and pure North German charm at Küstersmatt., Whether for relaxing days as a couple, family adventures, or creative moments in nature—here you’ll find your own space to simply be and unwind.

Wi-Fi is a complimentary bonus and is neither part of the offer nor a guaranteed feature of the holiday rental. Due to temporary disruptions, there may be occasional instances in exceptional cases where Wi-Fi or internet access is unavailable. Please take this into account when making your reservation. This does not constitute a defect.

High-quality premium linens packages must be booked separately. You’ll need one linens package per person.
Each premium linens package contains: 1 set of high-quality premium bedding, consisting of one pillowcase, one duvet cover, and one sheet per bed; 1 large bath towel; 1 small hand towel; and, in addition, for each holiday rental (regardless of the number of laundry packages booked): 1 shower mat (per bathroom), and 2 tea towels.

The municipal guest fee (visitor’s tax) is a public levy and is not included in the offer. The guest tax is assessed and calculated separately based on various factors that are not known to us at the time of booking. The amount of the guest tax is determined by the respective price schedule of the relevant municipality, as well as factors such as the season, length of stay, number and age of all travellers, and, if applicable, any severe disabilities and accompanying persons. After you make your booking, we will ask you for this information and can only then calculate the guest tax due.
