Beautiful house near beautiful beach

Marula is a brand new place with two lovely houses and a nice swimmingpool, all surrounded by a big garden. The location is very close to the beautiful beach, with the nice beachbar 'Ali Baba & The Fourty Thieves' nearby. The staff at Marula's is very friendly. They helped us perfectly by making a nice tour to Shimba Hills. Despite the last part of the raining season, we enjoyed the days we spent here.

We enjoyed our stay here- good location, pleasant pool, spacious property, well-equipped kitchen. A few things which could have been improved:- it would be nice to have some kitchen basics included- water, salt/pepper, spices, oil, etc- the cooking worked out quite expensive because everything had to be bought from scratch.- better lighting- it was very gloomy inside in the evenings.- the communication with one member of staff on WhatsApp was a little short and could have been more friendly/welcoming. - I know this is common in the area and hard to manage, but the ants and cockroaches which come in in the evening were not very pleasant.- The showers were rarely hot

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in Strandnähe mit fantastischem Kochservice

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa African Dream im Marula Park war fantastisch. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das gilt auch für die gesamte Anlage. Nur die hohe Temperatur des Pools ist etwas gewöhnungsbedüftig. Mit den kurzen Wegen zu Restaurants, Supermarkt und zum Strand ist die Lage nahezu ideal. Besonders gefallen hat uns der der Kochservice von Monica. Die Gerichte waren super lecker. Danke für alles. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Secure house in walled compound

We stayed in a 2 bedroom house with a bath, kitchen, living room and lovely covered porch. We had a fantastic cook, Celestine, who is included in the price. She cooked 3 healthy, delicious meals for us each day. There is a daily cleaner, Mary, and she did a great job. There is a grocery within walking distance and a bigger one a Tuk-tuk ride away. There are 3 houses in the compound and we were the only ones there, so it was very quiet. There are 2 pools also. There is a guard 24 hours a day. There is a road that leads down to the beach, we wished we had stayed at a place on the beach, since it was very hot when we were there but there were always ocean breezes. The compound tended to be hot, there is air conditioning in the bedrooms and we spent a lot of time there.

Per noi è una seconda casa

Ancora una volta a Marula..per oltre due mesi ! Non posso che confermare tutto quello che ho già scritto in questi anni. Grande merito della proprietà è proprio quello di curare le case con attenzione, mantenendo , per quanto possibile in Africa, le strutture ed il giardino in perfetto ordine. Il personale come sempre molto gentile e collaborativo, e la manager che si occupa del compound in loco è sempre pronta ad aiutare ed intervenire negli inevitabili piccoli problemi che possono sorgere. Che dire...secondo noi è una soluzione ottimale sotto ogni punto di vista.

We loved our stay at Marula Park Villas. The facility was quite nice & the staff couldn't have been nicer. The villa was clean with a full kitchen & the pool was heavenly. Our private cook really spoiled us with fantastic coastal meals. 40 Thieves is so easy to get to as its right next door. Thanks for a great relaxing vacation!

Sempre un ottima scelta

Sono quattro anni che ritorniamo a Villa African Dram, dopo aver soggiornato per due anni a Villa Cheetah nello stesso complesso di tre ville con giardino e piscina condivisa.Quest'anno la nostra permanenza è stata lunga, 50 giorni, ma il giudizio rimane ottimo. La casa è tenuta bene , il personale simpatico ed attento. La cuoca Celestine cerca di imparare sempre nuove ricette per incontrare i gusti degli ospiti e la sua cucina è veramente buona. Abbiamo avuto qualche piccolo inconveniente domestico, inevitabile con una permanenza lunga...uno scarico non funzionante, lampadine bruciate, connessione internet non funzionante ....subito risolte con tempestività . La piscina ed il giardino sono curati benissimo. Molto utile anche il piccolo padiglione per i massaggi, un piccolo ed economico lusso a domicilio ! Biancheria da bagno e da letto in buone condizioni così come le apparecchiature in cucina ( un magnifico frigo nuovo e un set di pentole degne di questo nome !) I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili ad ogni suggerimento utile per la vacanza. Se desiderate un esperienza diversa dall'albergo, molto più personalizzabile non posso che consigliarvi caldamente questa casa ma , direi, tutto il complesso di Marula Park . Desidero anche sottolineare che si trova in una posizione ottimale sia per la spiaggia che per i negozi ( supermercato a due passi ). Naturalmente , trattandosi comunque di tre case nel medesimo compound, dovete essere fortunati con i vicini ... Quest'anno per noi è stato un piacere ed una fortuna condividere, per esempio, un lungo periodo con una simpatica famiglia svizzera ! Un po meno con un gruppo di amici provenienti da Nairobi...ma questa ,appunto , ......è fortuna !

Gepflegte Ausgangsbasis zur Erkundung der Südküste

Eine schöne Anlage, sehr gepflegt mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Der große, schön angelegte Garten mit den Pools lädt immer zur Entspannung ein (und gelegentlich zur Beobachtung neugieriger Affen). Haus gut ausgestattet (wie in Beschreibung), alles einwandfrei. Ggf noch Stromadapter mitnehmen (im Haus war nur einer). Optimale Lage, vom Tor der Anlage an der Diani Beach Road 400 m Fußweg zum Strand, die dortige 40ThievesBar auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Baden (Bei Flut) und Schnorcheln (bei Ebbe) . Zwischen Anlage und Strand Tauchbasis. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Ukunda etc. mit Matatu immer schnell und unkompliziert zu erreichen. Im Haus auch eine gute Sammlung an Prospekten über mögliche Ausflugsziele und Anbieter. Können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

noch viel schöner als erwartet

Wir, 5 Personen im Alter von 17-70 Jahren, hatten 2 wunderschöne Wochen im Marulapark. Was wir ganz besonders genossen, war die private und sehr ruhige Atmosphäre. Der Pool und die Gartenanlage waren sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bar, Restaurant, Bank und Strand lagen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Jeder Zeit wieder!!!

Alles super

Sauber, ordentlich, großräumig, ruhig. Gärtner, Köche, Watchmen, Empfangsdame: Alle da, wie im Prospekt beschrieben. Der Pool war auch super & sauber. Die Wohnung hatte sogar deutsche CD´s. Der Kühlschrank ist wunderbar. Das Smirnoff-Ice & Tusker konnte immer schön kühl genossen werden (ist nötig, da es ja, gott sei dank, sehr heiss ist an der Küste). Eigentlich könnt man dort auch einziehen. Supermarkt ist "um die Ecke", ebenso Bankautomaten und der Strand. Zahlungsabwicklung lief auch klasse. Vor Anreise konnte man zur Wegbeschreibung auch anrufen. War zwar trotzdem schwer auffindbar, das lag aber eher an unserem eigenen Fahrer. Gehört halt zum Urlaub dazu. Wer also selbst anreisen möchte, sollte einen Fahrer mit Ortskenntnissen anheuern. Dennoch könnte vielleicht ein grössers Eingansschild angebracht werden. Zwinker. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt ist, daß die 40-Thieves-Bar (zu Fuß in 3-5 Minuten erreichbar) am Strand etwas überfüllt ist. Aber das ist auch kein Problem, da ja im Haus Prospekte ausliegen, wo man so alles hingehen/fahren kann. Wir fanden noch ein schönes Resturant wo man Abends wunderbar am Strand Essen gehen konnte. Sehr romantisch. Eigenes Auto ist nicht erforderlich. Taxis sind immer erreichbar. Alles in allem toll. Schade das ich nur 3 Tage buchte und am ersten Tag auch noch zu spät ankam...

Wir haben uns mit unserer Familie ( zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder 8 J und 12 J) sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus, der Garten, der Pool und die Angestellten sind wirklich TOP. Alle sind wirklich freundlich und hilfsbereit.Das Haus liegt sehr gut und ist sehr nah am Strand.Wir würden jederzeit wieder das Haus buchen. Betty, die Köchin, hat traumhaft lecker für uns gekocht.Es war ein wirklich gelungener Urlaub.

war ein toller urlaub

der vermieter hatte im vorfeld nicht zuviel versprochen. wir fühlten uns wirklich wohl in diesem domizil. bei den temperaturen war der pool durchaus angenehm und auch die nähe zum strandleben war gegeben. die einrichtung ist völlig neu und hat eine angenehme atmosphäre geschaffen. ich kann es nur empfehlen !!

Sehr schön, sehr gepflegt...

Wir hatten sehr schöne 2 Wochen im Marulapark. Es ist mehr als eine alternative zu den gängigen Hotels. Man hat hervorragendes Essen (Dank guter Köche) und die freie Auswahl was zubereitet werden soll. Was wir ganz toll gegenüber einem Hotel fanden ist das private Ambiente. Zum Strand ist es ein Katzensprung. Es ist im allgemeinen eine tolle Sache.
