Apartment above Peroulia beach near Koroni - taverna in front of the house

Halfway between Kombi and the fine sandy beach of Peroulia, in a beautiful hillside location above the bay lies the small estate FILOXENIA. On the large nature and garden plot stands the two-story apartment house and back of it the small, family-run tavern of the same name.

On the second floor of the house are 2 apartments and 2 studios each with its own separate outside entrance. On the second floor of the house one half is occupied by the German speaking landlord couple, the other half is not inhabited.

The simply furnished centrally located studio FILOXENIA 7 is on the upper floor of the two-story house, in a row next to studio 8 and the corner holiday apartment FILOXENIA 6 with rear entrance via an outside staircase. The beautiful wooden roof construction gives a certain warmth and coziness to the open living-bedroom with kitchenette. Adjacent to this is the bathroom. Direct exit to the terrace with beautiful views of the sea and the surrounding countryside to the opposite coast and the Taygetos mountains.

What awaits you here is a rural setting with great views of the sea and the Taygetos foothills, as well as direct access to the landlords' simple, delicious taverna. Under the vine-covered pergola, you can indulge in the daily menu or order your own food requests to the cook the day before. The tavern is famous for the traditional suckling pig on the spit which is prepared every Saturday by the landlady.

Between olive groves a narrow road leads after about 900m to the fine Peroulia beach. The sandy beach, which is partly covered with sunbeds and umbrellas, invites you to linger and swim.

The nearby picturesque town of Koroni, with its pretty harbor, taverns and cafes, offers a nice change from the quiet Peroulia surroundings. Further, on the western side of Messinia with special charm are the towns of Pylos and Methoni. In the coastal area between Koroni and Pylos there are still many untouched sandy beaches.
