"Between 1668 and 1675, Georg Christoph von Schönfeld built a stately residence at the fork in the road leading to Bildechingen. The current castle was built by Christian Freiherr von Münch in 1809 to replace the structure that burned down on July 14, 1807. Since then, the castle has served a variety of purposes and was most recently renovated 2015-2020. Today, the castle houses apartments."
