Every hand-cut log and weathered timber reflects the craftsmanship of early settlers who helped shape this historic village. The Quaker community here was known for its faith, compassion, and commitment to freedom. Members of the Patterson family were connected to the Underground Railroad, and several nearby homes played active roles in helping those seeking freedom on their journey north. Today, Quaker Freedom Cabin has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its historic character while offering the comforts of modern living. Whether you’re rocking on the porch exploring the hills of Southeast Ohio, or enjoying a quiet evening by the fire, we hope you’ll feel connected to a place where history, hospitality, and the spirit of freedom continue to welcome every guest. No parking on the lawn. $250 lawn parking fee.
Do not throw cigarette butts in the yard. $10 fee per cigarette butt.

The cabin was very nice. The only issue we had was it doesn't have a microwave - but we managed. The downstairs AC works very well! The upstairs AC was working really hard but it was still a little warm upstairs.The lady that dropped by with clean towels - Peggy - was such a sweet lady and even brought us brownies! We truly appreciated that.
