Wide windows frame golf-course views, while the shared pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, and gym give the group easy options when you stay close. Air conditioning, a full kitchen, board games, a barbecue grill, and in-unit laundry keep the practical pieces covered. Waikoloa Beach and Kings' Golf Courses are within a mile, and Dolphin Quest sits to the north for an outing with the kids. It is a great fit for a small family or two couples who want A-Bay nearby and quiet at the end of the day.



The Space:

Wide windows bring the golf-course view into the living area, and the work desk gives you a useful spot to answer an email before heading out. The kitchen is ready for meals at home, and the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath layout keeps the group comfortably separated. This stretch of Waikoloa Beach Resort balances beach access with a quieter residential feel. Anaeho'omalu Bay, or A-Bay, is close for sandy play, a snorkel when conditions are right, or a sunset walk past the fishponds. The Waikoloa Beach and Kings' golf courses are nearby, and Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace cover coffee, groceries, and dinner. Drive north toward Dolphin Quest or south along the lava coast when you want a larger outing. It is a sunny, convenient corner of Hawai'i Island for a low-stress beach week.



Getting Around:

Kona International Airport is roughly 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive up the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended to reach beaches, restaurants, and the resort area's shops with ease. Waikoloa Beach Resort keeps some shopping and dining walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or on site at most properties.

Please note: an exterior painting project has started at Waikoloa Colony Villas and will continue through approximately June 2027. Each building will take about two weeks to complete, with the entire property expected to take about one year. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.

The place was clean and well stocked, the pool was often yours alone, and the location is excellent. We were going to stay in Halii Kai as we had previously but for the difference in price we decided to stay at the Colony Villas - glad we did. The place itself was actually nicer!

Great house, fun pool, loved it

The house is great and in a beautiful and convenient location. The pool is nice plus there are lots of grills for cooking your own food. It’s an excellent place if you want to golf, or a starting point for cycling. Plenty of parking too.

Comfy and very spacious house

Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is well maintained and much larger than we were expecting. 2 outdoor areas was a nice touch to enjoy day and night. Definitely more space than needed for 2 people but we sprawled and it made our lives easy

Nice unit in Colony Villas

Four of us enjoyed our stay here *(however, the listing states that there are 2 king beds, and there are not. One bedroom only has a queen). The unit is comfortable, clean, close to the pool, and the location, in the Waikoloa Beach area is great. Lots of places to walk, shops and restaurants close as well.

Really nice place. Pool rules should be advertised- not the most kid friendly (especially for little kids) No toys or floats allowed in the pool. Bonus for kidless adults. Loved watching golf while having morning coffee on the lanai.

Clean, Spacious and Quiet Condo in Excellent Location

Lovely condo in a quiet and friendly complex. Nice walk (or very short drive) to the beach, shopping, dining and petroglyphs. The is unit was nice and clean. Spacious for our family of 3. Very close proximity to the pool and grills. Right on the golf course. Appreciate they have some beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella and cooler to use. Seemed an ideal location for exploring other parts of the island while being a bit away from Kona and closer to quiet and beautiful nearby beaches. Would definitely book again. Mahalo.

Totally enjoyed our stay. Well equipped kitchen, games, beach toys, beach towels, chairs, snorkel gear, baby crib. Very clean condo.(Could leave cleaning supplies for daily cleaning: ie: windex, disinfect wipes, ant spray, etc) Mattresses on beds were too soft for our liking...need new pillows for beds... Easy access to pools, shops and beaches! Great location...quiet surroundings. Simple check in and out. Property management on top of everything! Texted us several times to make sure everything was good! Would highly recommend. We are saving $ for a return trip. Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo!

Spacious and comfortable condominium

My teenage son and I stayed in this 2-story condo and really enjoyed ourselves. It was huge for just the 2 of us and could definitely comfortably house more. The location was convenient for visiting some of the beautiful beaches nearby (49 black sand and Hapuna, for example). Nice pool convenient to condo - we didn't use it much but I imagine people with younger kids would. Minor complaint, but it was irritating to me that you needed a key to get out of the complex and out of the pool. Makes me feel somewhat trapped!

No aloha spirit

A very poorly appointed condo. The living & dining room furniture look like the owners shopped at garage sales in Hilo. The chairs around the dining room table were not comfortable to sit in (2 metal folding chairs and 2 plastic/wood chairs) so we ate most of our meals on the lanai. The carpet under the living room coffee table is dirty & grubby. The ceiling fan in the Master bedroom is noisy & needs to be replaced. The webbing on one of the lanai chairs is unraveling. The only hair dryer provided is attached to the wall in the tiny ground floor powder room. Both bedrooms are upstairs. When we requested another hair dryer, the reply was “no”. There is no key to the safe. This was reported but no key was ever provided. We do Not recommend this condo.

Thank you for telling us about your stay. We are sorry to read you were not happy with your experience here. Maintenance is scheduled to handle the ceiling fan and lanai chairs. We have placed a hair dryer in the unit, and there is no key to the safe as it did not transfer to the owner upon the sale of the unit. We hope to have another chance to impress you again!
