a quaint and lovely cottage - exactly as shown but perhaps even more charming in person! The setting was lovely too. We had cooler weather during our stay, but there are decks both out front and in the back of the cottage that I’m sure would be just great during the summer months! I would stay here again myself, and definitely recommend to others!

Lovely little cottage, we did notice an odd odor, possibly the type of cleaning products used. Property was clean and well maintained.Quite a few uneven outside steps to access the main level and indoor stairs to main bedroom were very slippery and slightly spiral. Beware if you have dogs or children as there is no safety gate at the top of the stairs. We were hoping to light the wood burner but there was no fire lighting equipment or logs to burn, this was disappointing as the wood burner was a big draw for choosing the property.Full kitchen, beautiful stove. Huge deck with gas fireplace pit and lots of seating.Chris was happy to accept our dogs after checking their pet policy, great to find a pet friendly place.

We were extremely surprised and disappointed to read Paula’s review, particularly considering the message she sent immediately after checkout: “Hi Chris, we just left the cottage, dishwasher is on. We had a lovely relaxing visit. Thank you. Paula” At no point during her stay did Paula contact us regarding any concerns or give us an opportunity to address them. Regarding the indoor wood-burning fireplace, clear signage explains the summer restrictions issued by Metro Vancouver. Furthermore, the fireplace was not advertised as an available amenity during the summer months, so its unavailability should not have come as a surprise. The “uneven steps” are natural stone steps, clearly visible in our listing photographs. Their irregular shapes and textures are intentional, preserving the cottage’s natural character while allowing proper drainage. We regularly welcome families with children, and guests are informed that there is no safety gate at the staircase. We subsequently explained to Paula that a three-star VRBO rating suggests a significantly negative experience, which she acknowledged was certainly not the case. Unfortunately, she indicated she was unable to remove her review. We fully respect every guest’s right to share their experience, including constructive criticism. However, we strongly believe reviews should be fair, accurate and truthful. It is particularly disappointing when a guest describes a “lovely relaxing visit,” raises no concerns throughout their stay,

This cottage is absolutely stunning! The kitchen is well stocked, the shower is luxurious, and the patio is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The check in was so simple, the host was great with communication, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come stay again!
