I do not usually leave a low score on here but I feel it’s necessary to know what you’re getting when you book here. First off a big plus is the communication with the host. Their response times were great and they made us feel like we were a priority each time we reached out for help. However the property is pretty old and does not have many amenities or updates. If you are coming to Austin to be out and about only then this is sufficient but if you are coming to enjoy the rental I wouldn’t recommend. The cleanliness alone was pretty bad. Seemed like the cleaning crew did the bare minimum from the previous renters. Food left in the fridge and microwave. We had to go buy pillows at target because all the pillows smelled so bad and old. The keys didn’t work right and we weren’t told this at check in. There were bugs coming in the cracks in the restrooms the whole time. There are no curtains at all in the whole house and the blinds are really old and broken, so it feels like we didn’t have any privacy. The parking was a whole other issue. Property is on a very busy street and we had a really hard time parking each time we came back. As much as I want to recommend this home, the issues need to be corrected to match up to similar properties that we’ve been to nearby.
