About this property

Rustic 2-bedroom lakeside cottage near Nisswa

Built in the 1950s, this rustic cottage sits on twelve acres of preserved forest and lakeshore only seven minutes from Nisswa, Minnesota. It sat unoccupied for many years, but is now available as a quiet place of retreat on Middle Cullen Lake, where the sounds of loon calls echo across the water throughout the day.

Quaintly-decorated kitchen, full bathroom, two bedrooms (Queen and full beds), living room, and dining room.

The entire property (12 acres and 1000 feet of lakeshore) is available to the guests. Other than the area around the house, the property is heavily wooded. It is protected by the Minnesota Land Trust.

Canoe and/or kayak available upon request. We are located just beside the public access/boat launch point. Our entrance gate is exactly 10 feet wide, so larger boats/trailers may not fit on the property.

Both entrances to the house are up short flights of stairs (6 steps or so). There is currently no wifi on the property.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Check out is promptly at 10 AM.Please be sure to lock the front door and return the keys to the lock box. The front gate should also be closed and locked upon checking out.
Please make sure dishes are washed and leftover food is removed or thrown away.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please do not light a fire in the fireplace.

Traditional Golf Course and Nisswa City Park are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Nisswa Family Fun Center and Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway. Wildwedge Golf & Mini Golf and Kicks on Route 66 are also worth visiting. Kayaking, power boating and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.

Rustic cabin right on the lake! Quiet, no one around. Plenty of wildlife including a pair of bald eagles and loons daily. This cabin does not have all modern creature comforts but it does have everything you need for a relaxing stay in the north woods of Minnesota.
