Other things to note
🏠 1940s character
This is a genuine restored log cabin, not new construction. Expect character: original logs, a few creaks, changes in water pressure when multiple water sources are in use, and doorways built when people were shorter. That's exactly what you're booking.
🚙 Road Access & Winter Conditions
Paved roads the entire way, with a gravel driveway at the cabin. During the snowy months (October–May), AWD or 4WD is recommended—Ute Pass gets real snow, and the roads can get slick. In summer, any car is fine!
🔥 Fireplace
The original fireplace is a beautiful piece of the cabin's 1940s history — a decorative centerpiece rather than a working fireplace.
📏 Elevation & Weather
At 7,500 ft, expect cooler temperatures and fast-moving mountain weather. Bring layers.
🐾 Yard & Dogs
The yard is unfenced. Dogs are welcome [confirm any breed/weight/count limits] but need supervision — wildlife passes through the area.
📱 Cell Service & WiFi
Cell service gets spotty as you approach the cabin. The 200 Mbps Starlink WiFi is strong, so calls and streaming work fine once you're inside. Download offline maps before you head up.
🧖 Hot Tub
May take a minute to figure out the first time, but we will walk you through it.
🚪 Bathroom Access
One bathroom is accessed through Bedroom 2; the other through Bedroom 3—not off a hallway. Worth knowing for larger groups coordinating who's getting ready when.
