What a lovely cottage! We wanted dark skies to watch the Perseid meteor shower and the host communicated with us about which way it faced, etc. We parked our reclining lawn chairs by the drive and really enjoyed the star show! The house was very roomy, cozy and comfortable. Very well appointed (coffee, dishes, towels, cutlery, etc) with everything we needed. The huge bedroom was super comfy as well as the couch, all things I wanted for my husband's comfort since he likes all the inside comforts while I mainly do the stargazing. We camp at Lake Somerville a lot during nicer weather and love going into town for the home cooking restaurants, as well as little jaunts to Brenham and College Station. I also loved the safe/secure vibe with no immediate traffic! We had a great couple of days. I can easily envision a getaway here for a quilting weekend sometime!!
