Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
We arrived at Vathi Bay unaware of the exact location of Sifnos Studio 6. We dragged our suitcases along the sand after a full day of travelling (after getting up at 2am). We bumped into a Greek man who offered to assist us. He managed to contact the host and directed us there. Weirdly enough, this Greek man drank in the Taverna who ran the Studios nearly every night.The bad points to this accommodation: very, very basic. Broken mismatched furniture. There are not two bedrooms as advertised. Only one big room. The bathroom gets flooded by the shower (had to mop with towels). The kitchen is awful and was dirty. The fridge is yellowed and had frozen up when we arrived. There are ants climbing the walls. The wardrobe drawers fell through and the back was flimsy. Smells of cooking from the Taverna kitchen but we planned to be out at lunchtime and dinner. TV is put in a weird place and no batteries in the remote. The stool was broken (lucky we spotted otherwise could cause an accident). Hairs in the bedside cabinet drawers. Curtains mismatched and hanging oddly. No apartment information. Had to ask questions to find out wifi and didn't know about housekeeping. The host does not speak clear English.The good points: the view is outstanding. It is a full 180 degree view of Vathi Bay. The bed was comfortable. Fresh sheets and towels. Great location next to beach and restaurants.We would definitely not stay here again. There are much better places to stay on Sifnos.
