The holiday home consists of a living room (incl. 100Hz cable TV, DVD player, WLAN, and stereo system), a bedroom, and a child’s room (w/extra bed), as well as a nicely furnished kitchen, and a bath with a tub and shower. All areas are equipped with heated floors. They have separate entrances and their own partially covered terraces. The window frames to the terrace can be opened completely. For some physical activity, there is a table tennis setup and, out on the meadow, a trampoline and a sitting area for some relaxation. The sauna with tepidarium and hot tub can also be rented out. The fire pit can be used for a bonfire or for some grilling fun out in nature. There is a free community pool near the banks of the Rhine and many inviting, hot springs in the area. Public transportation can take you straight to the heart of the Swiss metropolis of Zurich. In addition to its lakeside location with stunning views of the snow covered Alps, Zurich offers over 150 museums, galleries, cathedrals, and a zoo as well as a unique shopping experience full of international labels and sophisticated Swiss brands. Countless cafes, clubs, bars, and other hubs of activity round out the multifaceted offering of late-night options. Of course, the street festivals, like Zürifest, Caliente, and many more cannot be ignored. The rustic Baden, with its gorgeous setting, features an interesting and historic, city centre; plenty of cultural opportunities; and the unique, mineral-rich, thermal springs (maximum Swiss total mineralisation of 4450mg/l at 46.6°C, Aquae Helveticae), as well as the Baden Grand Casino and the teddy bear museum. The area: The beautiful Upper Rhine Valley hiking trail to Bad Zurzach is a great way to get there by foot or bike (PT is also available). The location boasts a hot spring, which includes the Spa Medical Wellness Center; a castle with a substantial clock collection; castle ruins; and other historic structures. In the Reuenthal Fortress Museum and the Full Swiss Military Museum, an original German Tiger II tank is on display and in the nearby German village of Waldshut, there is a plethora of antique, rummage, and weekly markets with a special, historic ambiance. The cultural heritage site of Kaiserstuhl is possessed of many charms and the picturesque Regensberg, with its castle and upper/lower forts, is worth working into your agenda. The Mammoth Museum in Niederwenningen is located directly on the road. A nostalgic steam engine travels between Schaffhausen/Blumberg on the weekends over the summer, running along the famous Pigtail Line through the Wutach Valley. You can also take a boat trip along the Rhine to the Schaffhausen Rhine Falls, enjoy a wine tasting, admire the Alpine roses, visit a cheesemaker and try some of their offerings, take a hot air balloon ride, watch an antique car rally, or visit a mine, a cloister, or the Augusta Raurica–there is just so much to discover. Aargau is the Swiss canton with the most castles and forts. Daytrips to Bern, Zug, Schwyz, Lucerne, St. Moritz, Lake Constance and Lake Lucerne, the Grindwald Glacier Gardens, the Rapperswil-Jona Rose Garden, the Säntis Massif, the seven Churfirsten and the Flumserberg, Heidiland, the tall mountains that shield Andermatt & Gotthard, the Matterhorn, Eger, Mönch, & Jungfrau, are all great for enjoying the snow, even in the summertime.
