Welcome to the Auszeit holiday home in Hohegeiß—plenty of space for a family holiday in the heart of the Harz Mountains.
With approximately 135 m² of living space, the Auszeit can accommodate up to 7 people plus a baby and is particularly well-suited for families, two families travelling together, friends, and guests with a dog.
Three separate bedrooms are each equipped with a double bed (180 × 200 cm). The third bedroom also features a sleeper sofa (150 × 200 cm). Two bathrooms ensure a relaxing start to the day, even with multiple guests. The ground floor features a bathtub and separate shower, while the second bathroom on the upper floor has a shower. Both bathrooms are equipped with underfloor heating.
The heart of the house is the spacious living and dining area with a fireplace—perfect for shared meals, game nights, and cosy evenings after a day in the Harz Mountains. The separate, fully equipped kitchen features an additional dining area. Free Wi-Fi, four TVs with Fire TV, Alexa devices, and a washing machine round out the extensive amenities.
You can also enjoy your time off outdoors: A fenced-in patio area, a covered seating area with patio furniture, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit offer plenty of space for relaxing. Bicycles and skis can be stored at the house. Free parking is available right at the property.
Dogs are welcome—up to three dogs may accompany you. The fee is a one-time charge per stay of 35 for one dog, 55 for two dogs, and 75 for three dogs. When booking, the fee for one dog (35) is initially included. The additional costs for the second or third dog will be charged separately.
A cot and high chair are available free of charge for families. Bed linens and towels can be booked for an additional fee or brought along yourself.
For cosy evenings by the fireplace, firewood is available right at the holiday home and can be purchased for a small fee via an honour system.
Check-in is simple and can be done independently thanks to contactless check-in via a door code.
The holiday home is located in the mountain village of Hohegeiß near Braunlage at an elevation of about 560 m. Hiking and biking trails start right in the surrounding area. The Hohegeiß outdoor pool is nearby, and in winter, the tobogganing centre with its ski lift is within walking distance. A bus stop is just a few metres away from the holiday home.
Whether it’s a family holiday, time spent with friends, a holiday with your dog, or a cosy getaway by the fireplace, there’s plenty of space for shared experiences and, at the same time, plenty of opportunities to retreat.

Amenities include two bathrooms with heated floors. The ground floor features a bathtub and a separate shower, while the upper floor has another bathroom with a shower.
