Colonial charm reminiscent of the days of Frederick the Great. Take a trip back in time at our one-of-a-kind home built in 1757. A 6-minute drive from the water, featuring an open Franklin-style fireplace and a fenced-in property.
Have you ever spent your holiday in a 250-year-old house? Do you love door handles worn smooth by use, low beam ceilings, the texture of hand-formed clay walls, and the play of light and shadow on bleached floorboards and antique furniture? Then let yourself be enchanted by nearly 100 m² of history in the Colonistenhaus. Our half-timbered house, built in 1757 and lovingly restored, was renovated with special care to preserve the original charm of a historic Pomeranian building, with a strong emphasis on eco-friendly materials such as clay, wood, and natural paints. We’ve clad the house with the wooden facade typical of these structures, made from local spruce. The roof was re-tiled in 2016 with beautiful, historic clay tiles salvaged from a demolished building in the neighbouring village. The box windows—some of which still retain their Baroque style—were meticulously restored or, where possible, complemented by light-colored, floor-to-ceiling French doors, creating direct access to the large, wraparound wooden terrace. The incredibly cosy atmosphere of the rooms—with low beamed ceilings, elegant wallpaper and cement tiles, half-timbered walls, and antique cabinets and dressers—will enchant you. Here, an antique Lübeck tiled stove provides cosy warmth in the winter. In addition, one of the two bedrooms has been equipped with a cast-iron Franklin stove, which can now be used upon request to create exceptionally romantic evenings. The antique bench under the pear tree in front of the house, teak furniture on the large wooden deck, and other seating and lounging areas are all ready for you to relax. From here, you can look out onto the wildly romantic orchard with its cherry, apple, and peach trees—which bloom magnificently in the spring—and well-tended hedges, as well as a playground with a sandpit for the little ones and an abandoned beekeeper’s cottage.
A romantic stay with an open fireplace:
The approximately 250-year-old colonist house is situated on a 1,200 m² fenced-in property. Spanning nearly 100 square metres, you’ll experience the home’s unique charm, featuring an Art Deco-era tiled stove in the spacious living area, an open kitchen (dishwasher, refrigerator, electric oven, and ceramic cooktop), a dining area for 4 people, 2 separate bedrooms with double beds, and a modern bathroom/toilet equipped with a walk-in shower and a washing machine. One of the bedrooms features a cast-iron open Franklin stove, while the other bedroom opens onto the wraparound wooden deck. A cot and a high chair are provided. At the rear of the house is the spacious sauna house, which comfortably accommodates 2–4 people, and the large sun terrace with patio furniture, a parasol, and a grill. A Wi-Fi network ensures reliable communication with the outside world even while on holiday .
