The property is on the 4th floor, 87 steps up and down. It is detailed as having no lift but it's a lot of stairs. It isn't riverside at all. The key lock was difficult to find and you need this before getting a car in from a one way street. The apartment is spacious, basic equipment but more than adequate. Good mattress & shower is narrow but good water pressureThe balconies are dreadful with dead plants, rusty balustrades and are tiny. We were very disappointed after enjoying a superb balcony in Berlin recently with plants, flowers, solar lights and space. The owner kindly agreed to date changes after an air traffic control strike affected our travel plans. She was brilliant in agreeing to refund but alas in fact she didn't refund it all. So i suggested she took the tourist tax from the 100 she owed me. She became hostile and abusive, a never ending stream of messages. Such a shame to be so unprofessional when i was the one out of pocket. As a base for seeing Verona, it's a quiet neighbourhood apart from the music venue in the park every night but it's a long walk to the main sights. Buses were useful but often also meant an additional 20 min walk especially on a Sunday. If you're ok with climbing 4 floors after walking all day and aren't bothered about the balcony, this is a recommended stay.
