We loved it! We wanted peace and relaxation which is exactly what we got.
Perfect place to relax! We loved it. The cottage was spotlessly clean and couldn’t fault anything. David and Jenny were lovely hosts and are very approachable if anything is needed. We arrived on a Sunday when all the shops were shut so they kindly gave us some eggs, bread and a much needed bottle of wine after a long day of driving. We would definitely recommend staying at the cottage, it was perfect!
What a fantastic Cottage. Looks do not deceive with regards to this cottage.
From the time we arrive till the time we left this tranquil hamlet we were made more than welcome by Jenny & David who couldn’t do enough for us.
The cottage is a dream to holiday in. The accommodation is very comfortable with every amenity you require catered for and there is ample room outside for uninterrupted entertaining, sunbathing & eating outside with a bbq and seating provided.
We had a fantastic time staying at the cottage and were very sad to leave wishing we had booked 2 weeks and not just 1.
Would defiantly stay again if returning to the same area.
Our aim is to please and give our guests a home from home experience. Glad you had a good time at Chabrenas.
A Very Pretty Cottage
If you are looking for a peaceful holiday in a cottage that has everything you could possibly need , then look no further!
The owners were very helpful and most informative. We have had a very relaxing week. Thanks a lot .

Cosy and quaint mid winter stay.
We booked our week long stay at La Petite Chabrenas primarily for house hunting in the area. David and Jenny are great hosts and nothing is too much bother for them. The directions to the gite were comprehensive and easy to read and although we arrived in the dark, in freezing temperatures, we were very grateful to find that the log burner had been lit and was lovely and warm for our arrival. The gite itself is spotlessly clean, and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a stay. We had good internet access, the soft furnishings were comfortable and we got good nights sleep in the bed. As we were out and about most days, we were very grateful for David or Jenny to put our log burner on in the late afternoon, as the outside temperatures rarely got above freezing. The gite is rural, but close enough to shops and amenities. The surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful. There are lots of chateaux to visit nearby, and lovely quaint villages. We visited a local restaurant in Montgibaud for s special meal and this too was lovely. David and Jenny booked it for us, which made things easier! Thankyou for a lovely stay and no doubt we will be returning in the not too distant future.
A real get-away treat
Everything you could possibly wish for in a holiday gite.
David and Jenny were wonderful hosts. The bungalow is well-appointed and organized, and you have everything you need. It is conveniently located near the A20 motorway, so easy to access, but still give you a feeling of remoteness, peace and quiet. Definitely recommended!
Chabrenas is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Haute Vienne Department of Limousin. It is ideally situated close to the main A20 Autoroute (10 Mins) if you wish to travel quickly to the attractions of the area. However, if you prefer you can take gentle drives down country lanes and wend your way to visit local chateaux, such as Coussac Bonneval, still inhabited by the Marquis de Bonneval, or follow the route of ‘Richard the Lionheart’. Stop and sample food and wine in some of the prettiest villages in France such as Segur-le-Chateau, Montemart, St Robert, Collonges-la-Rouge and Turenne, or relax by one of the many swimming lakes in the area. Wend a little further and visit the unique sights of Sarlat-la-Caneda, Rocamadour or Cirq Lapopie, a few of the picturesque villages that make up the Dordogne and Lot Valleys.
