Welcome to this holiday home, built in June 2024, in the scenic town of Aalbæk, about 20 kilometres south of Skagen. With 118 thoughtfully designed square metres of living space, the home can accommodate up to 8 overnight guests. The property is situated on an open, secluded lot of 6,000 m². From here, it’s just 150 metres to a gorgeous beach, tucked away from the tourist crowds. Inside, you’ll find a bright, Scandinavian design featuring three bedrooms, each with a double bed, and an open loft (Hems) with two sleeping spots. Two fully equipped bathrooms with showers ensure a relaxing start to your morning. The kitchen is modern and comfortably furnished with an induction cooktop, two ovens, and a fridge-freezer. Amenities also include free Wi-Fi, four smart TVs with streaming capabilities, as well as a washing machine and dryer. Outside, there are two parking spaces and a charging station for electric cars available.

Ålbæk – the Village of Light

The small town of Ålbæk lies between Frederikshavn and Skagen. Here you can experience the beautiful surrounding nature and visit the charming fishing and yacht harbour.

Ålbæk is situated on the Skagen Odde headland between Skagen and Frederikshavn and therefore offers both the special light and the natural scenery typical of northeastern Vendsyssel. Ålbæk was originally a fishing village, and the authentic atmosphere in the charming harbour—where fishing boats and recreational boats lie side by side—is clearly palpable. Fresh fish is sold right on the harbour pier—perfect for grilling at your holiday home or at one of the three campsites located just a short distance from town.

Right in the Heart of It
Ålbæk is conveniently located along the Skagen Railway (“Skagensbanen”), which takes you from the station in the heart of town to both Skagen and Frederikshavn in just 20 minutes. However, there are also plenty of reasons to stay in Ålbæk. On both sides of the cosy harbour, white sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see. With shallow, calm waters free of dangerous reefs and undercurrents, they’re perfect for children and their parents. The beach in Ålbæk has been awarded the Blue Flag and therefore offers everything a beachgoer could wish for.

Adventures for Everyone
Ålbæk is the ideal starting point for exploring North Jutland. The town is nestled in unique natural surroundings, featuring inviting low-lying beach heaths, the rolling dune landscape of Ålbæk Klitplantage, Råbjerg Mose, and the Råbjerg Mile—Europe’s northernmost shifting dune, which comes closest to a real desert in our latitudes. Though there are no exotic animals here. Instead, you’ll find plenty of them at Farm Fun, a family park located very close to Ålbæk—a charming petting zoo with a playground. Here, in addition to kangaroos, emus, pot-bellied pigs, peacocks, and many other animals, you can also get to know all the Danish farm animals.
