Our lovingly furnished holiday rental is located on the ground floor of a historic watermill dating back to 1844. With its tasteful and comfortable furnishings in a cosy country-style design, you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in. You can enjoy your well-deserved break from everyday life in the 4,500-square-meter natural garden, which is available for shared use. The property borders the Wassermühlenholz Forest and boasts a truly idyllic location: Vast fields, a mill stream, and the large garden pond offer pure nature on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Kappeln on the Schlei. The property features a 4,500-square-meter, secluded garden with a pond and several seating areas for shared use. On balmy summer evenings, it’s a wonderful spot for a barbecue, and during the day, the patio furniture provides the ideal place for sunbathing.
You can start a virtual 360° tour of our Kleine Wassermühle here: https://cloud.panono.com/t/jCmdCqgnIaD Make yourself comfortable with a glass of wine in front of the crackling fireplace or in the reading chair with a book from the small collection. Wellness enthusiasts can look forward to the holiday rental’s lovely sauna. The apartment is close to the centre yet in a quiet location, so you can reach city centre Kappeln on foot in just a few minutes and take a stroll past the many small shops, and nothing stands in the way of visiting Kappeln’s diverse restaurants. The “Kleine Wassermühle” is equipped with media amenities to ensure alternative entertainment even in bad weather, as it features a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, a hi-fi stereo system, free Wi-Fi, and a small collection of CDs and DVDs. A double bed in the bedroom ensures a peaceful night’s sleep; if needed, a toddler is welcome to stay—a cot can be provided upon request. A dog is also welcome for an additional fee of 10.00 EUR per night. Incidentally, the “Kleine Wassermühle” became famous through the TV series “Der Landarzt,” as the house served as the filming location for the home of police officer Sven Olsen (actor Thorsten Nindel) in “Deekelsen.”
Note: Due to the ceiling construction in this historic building, you may hear footsteps from the holiday apartment above. The garden is for shared use and is not completely fenced in—therefore, we recommend that pet owners bring a leash. The garden pond is not fenced in and is freely accessible. Parents are responsible for their children.
