Enjoy a relaxing holiday with family and friends at the Ilsestein holiday homes—which opened in 2019—amid the gentle murmur of the “Ilse.” The three-story semi-detached homes feature a spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped solid-wood kitchen, a large dining table that seats up to 6 people, and a cosy leather sofa corner with a flat-screen TV and a fireplace that spreads cosy warmth throughout the house during the colder months.
With three cosy bedrooms, each featuring a double bed, the semi-detached homes offer plenty of privacy. Two modern bathrooms with showers and toilets are located on two different floors. You can enjoy the balmy summer evenings on your own terrace with a fantastic view of the Harz countryside. Of course, patio furniture and a grill are provided for your use. The well-developed network of hiking trails, which also includes flat routes, takes you directly from your front door to many natural wonders—past cosy mountain inns—all the way to the highest mountain in northern Germany: the Brocken. A wide variety of recreational activities are within walking distance of the holiday homes: a water playground, a Kneipp facility, a climbing forest, a disc golf course, and the Ilsenburg National Park Visitor Centre.
The historic town of Wernigerode, with its town hall and castle, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Bad Harzburg, with its treetop trail and saltwater spa; Thale, featuring the Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe; and many other excursion options invite you to explore the surrounding area.
