Can't recommend Larkspur enough, what a fantastic home. We rented both sides for our group of 10 skiers and riders and this place greatly exceeded our expectations. We cooked nightly and each kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was impeccably clean. Andy called on the day of our arrival to let us know the house was ready for us if we wanted to get in early, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. A host for sure, A house for a larger group as well. Plenty of parking and a quick walk to the free TOV bus to Vail Village.
The property was a great location, quiet neighborhood, updated kitchen, comfortable beds and clean. The backyard looked a little bigger in the photos, but was still space to play games and used the driveway for lawn games too.
The Larkspur cabins were amazing. We were able to accommodate my whole family for a fabulous wedding weekend. Thank you for a fabulous spot. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tubs. Hope to return soon.

Great stay, owner friendly and very helpful. The bedrooms are on the small side, but quite nice. Hot tubs are great after a day of skiing. Kitchen has everything you need. Bus stop is about a 5 min walk in ski boots. Would rent again.
We stayed at Larkspur Cabin East/West for a week in February. There was plenty of space for our group and the separation of the duplex was only negative when it came to hanging out. The two sides are mostly identical, which made it easy to plan sleeping arrangements. The driveway was large enough for several cars, which is a big plus in Vail, and having two hot tubs was great after long ski days. The host was responsive and nice whenever we reached out.For the price and being in Vail, we expected a few things to be better. All of the queen beds seemed to have the same mattress, and several people mentioned they were very soft and sank toward the middle. The West side kitchen did not have enough spoons, and the pots and pans on both sides were pretty worn with chipping and scratched Teflon. In the basement bedrooms there was consistent dripping inside the walls, which we assume was from the radiant heat. That, combined with very creaky upstairs floors, made ear plugs pretty much necessary to sleep well.On the last night, someone who was not in our group entered the East side and rummaged through some food before being chased off. The police were called. It was unsettling and not how anyone wants to end a trip.Overall, the space itself, parking, and hot tubs were nice, and we appreciated the host’s communication. With some updates to the mattresses, kitchen items, and attention to maintenance it could better match the price point and location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!! Intermountain was a great little cozy duplex and we rented both sides for 3 families. Plenty of beds (very comfortable) for sleeping and space for relaxing.
Owners were on the ball and responded quickly when we left messages.
Convenience to bus stop, we love to park our cars and utilize the bus services vail provides to and from skiing.
When we come back to Vail, I will definitely look to rent Intermountain again.
Alex and Meg thank you for being amazing hosts and sharing your cabin with others!
We rented both sides (East and West cabins) and it was perfect for 4 families(total party size was 16). Rooms were comfortable and 3 rooms down stairs with 1 bathroom, and 1 bedroom and bunkbeds in the upstairs loft area where they has to use the main bathroom, which was fine.
Hot tubs were great! Andy and Meg were super sweet and id we needed anything they were available!
We had a great time in the cabins, cooked out, enjoyed the weather and had a great time!
Great location, too! Vail Village is like 5-7 min away. There’s a Safeway and Walmart for groceries!
Great place ! Will stay here again! Thk you Andy and Meg! Our baseball families all loved your cabin!
The cabin has a somewhat disappointing floor plan in that all 3 bedrooms are in the basement with just one bathroom, and the other bathroom is at the living room level. There is also sleeping area in the attic accessible by a wall ladder for the younger folks. This is one half of the cabin with the other half a mirror image of the first.
Also the bedrooms downstairs hear every noise from the upstairs living room and kitchen and appliances such as dishwasher, washer, people waking.
This makes it a bit awkward to share between multiple families who want to split the two bathrooms with their accessories and if different people are on different schedules.
But if you are with a good company, it's still a great place to stay in Vail for skiing in the winter.
Also, the hosts are very approachable and helpful with anything that can be immediately fixed.
Hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. Property was great for our family ski trip, close walk to the vail shuttle bus & about 15/20 minute ride to the vail transportation center - a little shorter if you get off at lionshead. There was a park nearby @ within walking distance that was nice for the kiddos on non-ski days. I will note that the “loft” has a ladder that goes straight up so you’d need to be able to climb a ladder to sleep there. It was a little uneasy with small children but works for slightly older children. Otherwise, everything was great and we were happy with our stay!
This property worked out well for our extended family while visiting for a wedding. Beds were comfortable, property was clean and kitchen was well stocked. While this property has a lot of beds and can handle a large group, one thing to be aware of is that 2 of the queen beds and 4 of the twins (if renting both units) are in a loft and accessible only by a ladder so not suitable for young children (I would say under 6) or seniors. Access to the shuttle is easy and property is just minutes to downtown Vail. All in all it's a great find for a large group!
We had a fantastic week long trip to Vail with a group of work colleagues for a training event. The hosts were amazingly welcoming, helpful, and responsive.
We had a wonderful stay at the Larkspur east/west cabin. We had a large group of family and friends and it was so nice to all be able to stay in the same location with plenty of parking! Our group found the house to be very comfortable with the main floor being an open kitchen/living room. It was great relaxing in the hot tubs after a hard day of skiing. The proximity to vail was easy and the owners were great. In advance of the trip, Meg was very responsive to our questions and provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Lastly, our kids really enjoyed the tvs with roku and easy access to Netflix. We highly recommend staying at the Larkspur cabin!
Beautiful home about 10 min from skiing at vail (free bus, easy to time) and 15 min drive to beaver creek. Lots of parking at cabins.
We rented east and west cabins. Cooked a couple meals and enjoyed hot tubs. Comfy beds and cool loft room.
Andy and Meg were easy to communicate with. Easy check in and check out.
Overall fantastic stay and highly recommend!

Why they chose this property
The cabin is a one of a kind rental in Vail. Two private hot tubs for the home make this a real log cabin mountain retreat! This is not a condo complex, this is a true log home in the woods!
