Chalet Alpl: modern renovated apartment in the ski area with sauna, whirlpool & fireplace

Cozy, allergy-friendly vacation rental for 2–4 people (plus 1 toddler possible) with a private sauna in the garden, a fireplace, a whirlpool tub, a patio, a small alpine garden, and many extras. Quietly located near the forest, yet just a 3-minute drive from the ski lifts and hiking trails. Please note that the apartment offers only one parking space in winter! During other seasons, additional parking is available right next to the house. The vacation rental is also accessible only via several flights of stairs.

We especially want to offer people with allergies a chance to breathe easy: the beds are equipped with allergy-proof encasings, and the entire apartment features underfloor heating and hardwood floors.
Important: For this reason, smoking is not permitted in the apartment or on the entire property! Pets are not allowed for the same reason! These rules must be followed without exception, and compliance will be enforced—if you cannot abide by them, please do not book!

The Chalet Alpl mountain cabin was extensively renovated in 2024 and offers the highest level of comfort for your vacation. Great emphasis was placed on healthy, recyclable, hypoallergenic materials, and a heat pump powered by green electricity was installed for heating. The beds offer the comfort of the finest hotels, and the new kitchen has everything you need—and more—for a fun evening of cooking: brand-name appliances, a raclette grill, coffee made with a Bialetti, French press, and Moccamaster, plus many other extras. A variety of board games and a Marshall Bluetooth speaker make for the perfect cozy evening after a long day of skiing or hiking. Relax in the private garden sauna, in the whirlpool tub, or with a book in a wingback chair in front of the fireplace. A crib and a high chair are available free of charge (please request in advance). An electric car charging station powered by green electricity is available in the garage (billed according to usage). Skis can be stored in the garage.

The Hochrindl hiking and skiing area is located at elevations ranging from 1,500 m to 2,440 m in the heart of the Carinthian Nockberge Mountains and has been recognized as a climatic health resort. In winter, it is a small but charming family-friendly ski resort with a focus on affordable rates. 20 kilometers of blue, red, and black runs invite you to hit the slopes. In addition, there are four perfectly groomed cross-country trails spanning another 20 kilometers, as well as three toboggan runs, some of which are illuminated. Snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered forest are possible right from your front door. Snow reliability is guaranteed by the snowmaking system, which was modernized in 2019. Other ski resorts in the immediate vicinity include Turracher Höhe (15 min. by car), Falkertsee (15 min.), and Bad Kleinkirchheim (20 min.). If it does get too cold, there are two thermal spas to choose from in Bad Kleinkirchheim. On the Hochrindl, there’s a mini-supermarket, a ski school, a ski rental shop, and an electric bike rental shop. Numerous hiking trails through the idyllic alpine landscape start right at your doorstep. Several lakes—such as Lake Wörthersee, Lake Ossiacher See, Lake Millstätter See, and others—are within a half-hour drive. In two and a half hours, you can reach the Mediterranean, the Dolomites, and Triglav National Park; Italy and Slovenia are each just 60 minutes away. Shopping options, including SPAR supermarkets in Sirnitz and Ebene Reichenau, are an eight-minute drive away. In addition, there is a Billa in Patergassen (10 min.)—which is also open on Sundays and holidays during the season—and a 24-hour self-service gas station.

The damage deposit is 500 euros and must be paid in cash upon arrival.
A lodging tax and local tax of 2.70 euros per night per adult is charged, which must also be paid in cash upon arrival.
Electricity will be billed upon departure based on consumption at a rate of 0.35 EUR/kWh.
