A very cosy Western-style log cabin with a view of the historic Wollaberg, as well as the horse paddock and the cattle’s summer pasture—pure attention to detail, private entrance, and ground-level access so you’re right outside the door. The large covered porch is a favourite spot for eating and playing together outdoors. You can also barbecue right in front of it. Ideal occupancy: two adults and two children (a third bed can be added upon request). With approximately 90 square metres of living space, you’ll find: Two separate bedrooms: a large master bedroom (king-size bed, 200x220 cm) and a children’s room with a bunk bed (top bunk: 90x200 cm; bottom bunk: 120x200 cm), the children’s room features a play area accessible via a fold-away ladder. An extremely spacious kitchen-living room with exposed rafters and a wood-burning stove, as well as all the amenities for a relaxing holiday. Bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and a bathtub. A distinctive living atmosphere thanks to the wood-frame construction, making it cosy and warm in both summer and winter. Adjacent meadows for playing and running around. Far from noisy roads, as the farm is in a secluded location. Here in the border triangle with Austria and Bohemia—in a particularly beautiful spot and all to yourself (though not isolated)—lies the ecologically managed “Rohrhof” in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park, surrounded by meadows and forests. Far away from noisy roads. Our organic holiday farm is a paradise for children: In addition to the beautiful natural surroundings, which offer endless opportunities for play, there is, among other things, a giant ground-level trampoline, a large play barn, and a playground, the best-behaved wooden horse in the world, plenty of pedal-powered vehicles, archery, plenty of petting animals, helping to care for the animals, guided pony rides, and riding lessons upon request; barbecue facilities, a campfire site, and a stone pizza oven for fun-filled summer evenings with our guests. Here, families find relaxation—without any schedule. A break for young and old (and grandparents) all year round. But romantic getaways and active solo travellers are also well catered for. Arrive in the here and now. Feel the present moment. Just let go. Recharge your batteries. Here, you’ll find plenty of space for time. The whirlwind of thoughts slows down. Clocks tick a little differently in the countryside—go with the flow! We run our organic holiday farm in harmony with nature, with a focus on regional products. Our animals enjoy the lush green pastures; our own forest provides warmth; the sun supplies our electricity; and water—the elixir of life—flows from our on-site spring. We offer small, regional specialities. Reconnect with nature… …with fresh air, sparkling spring water, and a romantic campfire. Our log-cabin-style holiday homes feature all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. Two separate bedrooms, a kitchen-living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting area, a dining nook, a smart TV, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a private entryway with a coat closet, and a covered terrace. Bookable separately and exclusively on-site: “Schwitzhütt’n” with a Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, relaxation area, and wood-burning stove, as well as a rustic, spacious common room called “Woidstub’n” for families travelling together, featuring a kitchen, wood-burning stove, large oak tables, and a Smart TV... The farm is located at an elevation of 650 metres in the tri-border region of Bohemia, Austria, and Bavaria, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. Secluded location, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. Passau—the Venice of the North—is 30 km south of us. An ideal hiking area; e-bikes come in very handy here, as the hilly landscape is somewhat challenging. E-bike charging station on the farm. Attractions such as the Bavarian Forest National Park with its treetop walk, our Bavarian Forest mountains like the Dreisessel, Haidel, Lusen, and Rachel, the open-air museum, glassmaking villages, the Granit Centre in Hauzenberg, and the cities of Linz and Krummau (Krumlov) invite you to explore them. Ski resorts are just a short drive away; our local mountain, the Oberfrauenwald/Geiersberg, is only 2 km from us. The Adalbert Stifter Trail—a disused railway track—can be used as a cross-country ski trail in winter and as an ideal bike path all the way to the Czech Republic in summer.
