A charming, renovated farmhouse, lovingly furnished, with a private entrance—1st floor; there are NO other living units in this building. A spacious, covered balcony facing south overlooks the courtyard and the expansive meadows. The additional terrace in front can be used for barbecuing and relaxing. Ideal occupancy: two adults and two children (a third bed can be added upon request). With approximately 100 square metres of living space, you’ll find: Two separate bedrooms: a large master bedroom (bed size 200x200 cm) and a children’s room with two separate beds (each children’s bed measures 90x200 cm). An extremely spacious kitchen-living area with exposed rafters and all the amenities for a relaxing holiday. A cosy loft with a skylight is accessible via a fold-away ladder. Bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and a bathtub. Pure living pleasure, summer and winter alike. Adjacent meadows for playing and running around. Far away from noisy streets, as the farm is in a secluded location. Here in the tri-border region with Austria and Bohemia—in a particularly beautiful spot and all to itself (yet not isolated)—lies the ecologically managed “Rohrhof” in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park, surrounded by meadows and forests. Our organic holiday farm is a paradise for children: In addition to the beautiful natural surroundings, which offer endless opportunities for play, there is, among other things, a giant ground-level trampoline, a large play barn, and a playground, the best-behaved wooden horse in the world, plenty of pedal-powered vehicles, archery, plenty of petting animals, helping to care for the animals, guided pony rides, and riding lessons upon request; barbecue facilities, a campfire site, and a stone pizza oven for summer evenings spent socialising with guests. Here, families find relaxation—without any schedule. A break for young and old (and grandparents) all year round. But romantic getaways and active solo travellers are also well catered for. Bookable separately and exclusively on-site: "Schwitzhütt'n" with a Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, relaxation area, and wood-burning stove, as well as a rustic, spacious common room called "Woidstub'n" for families travelling together, featuring a kitchen, wood-burning stove, large oak tables, and a Smart TV... The farm is located at an elevation of 650 metres in the tri-border region of Bohemia, Austria, and Bavaria, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. Secluded location, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. Passau—the Venice of the North—is 30 km south of us. An ideal hiking area; e-bikes come in very handy here, as the hilly landscape is somewhat challenging. E-bike charging station on the farm. Attractions such as the Bavarian Forest National Park with its treetop trail, our Bavarian Forest mountains like Dreisessel, Haidel, Lusen, and Rachel, the open-air museum, glassmaking villages, the Granite Centre in Hauzenberg, and the cities of Linz and Krummau (Krumlov) invite you to explore them. Ski resorts are just a short drive away; our local mountain, the Oberfrauenwald/Geiersberg, is only 2 km from us. The Adalbert Stifter Trail—a disused railway track—can be used as a cross-country ski trail in winter and as an ideal bike path all the way to the Czech Republic in summer. A deposit equal to 100% of the total price is due immediately upon booking. Payment is due by bank transfer upon receipt of the invoice. Check-in is available fr 14:00 - 17:00. Check-out must take place by 10:00 a.m. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys will be handed over on site. Additionally, a 5th bed for a child can be provided upon request for a fee of 25.00 EUR.
