A warm welcome from Königsfeld! - At FörschtnSchorsch
In Bavaria, there is a tradition of house names. Thus, some houses and properties in rural areas, as well as the people living there, have a house name, even though the written names of the residents may vary.

The house name of our vacation home is “Förschtn”—unfortunately, the Franconian abbreviation hasn’t been passed down, so it’s unclear whether it derives from “Fürst” (prince), “Förster” (forester), or something entirely different… and in memory of my father, we’ve now named the vacation home in the classic Franconian way of indicating one’s affiliation. So if you’re asked where you’re staying, feel free to say “at FörschtnSchorsch” within a 10-kilometer radius—no further address is needed.

If you appreciate the charm of an old farmhouse with creaky wooden floors and a cozy wood-burning stove, you’ve come to the right place. The rooms were lovingly renovated in 2024. The first floor, featuring a large kitchen-diner and a spacious living and dining room, offers plenty of space for all guests.

In addition to its rustic charm, the house naturally offers modern comforts such as central heating and Wi-Fi.

The garden offers a cozy seating area to relax, and in the adjacent former chicken coop, children have plenty of space to run around. The Aufseß stream runs right past the property.

The house offers enough space for 12 to 15 people, with 6 bedrooms on the upper floor.
Upon request, we are happy to provide a high chair or a crib.



Vacation home:

The house offers enough space for 12 to 15 people, divided among 6 bedrooms on the upper floor. There is a shower with a toilet here.

On the first floor, you’ll find the cozy kitchen-diner, the spacious living and dining room, a bathroom with a shower/tub and toilet, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, and another separate toilet.

The upper floor features the following bedrooms:
- Swallow’s Nest
The most spacious bedroom features a double bed, as well as a daybed that can be pulled out to a width of 2x80 cm.

- Little Animals
This room with a bunk bed is ideal for children.

- Frida
A small room that can be used either as a quiet retreat for reading or, when the pull-out sofa bed (1.60 wide) is extended, as a sleeping area for up to 2 people.

- Banksy
This room has two beds. If only one is needed, they can be stacked on top of each other to free up extra space.

- Romantic
Small but charming, this romantic room features a bed that is 1.40 wide.

- Canopy Bed
There’s plenty of room for daydreaming in our room with the canopy bed.

A small bathroom with a shower and toilet is also located on the upper floor.

On the first floor:
The cozy kitchen-diner features a classic wood-burning stove that provides a cozy warmth. Of course, the kitchen also features a traditional electric stove as well as a ceramic cooktop. The kitchen is equipped with a fully automatic coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle.

The spacious living room features a large dining area for everyone, a sofa nook, and a rocking chair for reading in front of the Swedish stove.

A spacious bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and toilet is also located on the first floor.

There is also a separate toilet on the first floor.

In another room, you’ll find the washing machine, the dryer, and an additional sink.
