Prime Location Near River, Downtown, Old Mill And All Your Favorite Breweries
Located within a 10 min walk to restaurants and shopping and within 200 ft. of the Deschutes river, the Larson house is a perfect place to stay. This quaint 900 sq' 2 bedroom 1 bath home was built in 1919 in the mill heyday and was originally a boarding house owned and operated by Mrs. Larsen. Around the corner from the new Miller Landing park, across the river from the Pirate park, and 10 min leisurely stroll along the river to the old mill and down town make it a great setting for families and couples alike. For the more adventurous, Phil's trail complex is a short Mt bike ride away and skiing, fishing, hiking and mountaineering is just a short 30 min drive up Century Drive.

Great location. Easy walking distance to downtown and to the amphitheater. Host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. This is an historic home - comfortable, not super modern, pictures feel mostly accurate to our experience.
We really enjoyed this property. It was a cute historic home. Very comfortable for my family, plenty of room to relax after long walks along the river or hikes in the Bend area. We loved the spacious kirchen too! We hope to return again soon!
The property is as described. Very comfortable accommodations for the two of us and a small dog. And an excellent location next to Millers Landing and close to many great Bend locations.
We had occasional, spotty wifi, but most of the time it was fine.
All in all a great stay!

Very happy with the place, exactly as advertised. It's an older property so don't expect everything to be brand new, but the location makes up for anything like that. An easy walk to the amphitheater and downtown area.
Owner was perfect and even refunded as a night when we had to leave early because of a health issue with our dog...can't ask for better than that!
Bill was super accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay. Absolutely could not beat the location of this lovely home. We will miss walking the dog on the river walk and drinking wine in the beautiful back yard. Would highly recommend!
The location of the property is fantastic with easy parking and the ability to walk everywhere. The property is clean and perfect for a small family. The only pause on this house is the bathroom. which is small with an old tub converted to a shower that one needs to be careful getting in and out of.
We enjoyed the location as it was central for us and easy access to the bike trails at Phils and the Welcome Centre. The accommodation is as described, beds were comfortable, large kitchen eating area and comfortable living room. Bathroom at first glance seems small but everything works fine and is clean. Owner responded immediately to a small issue we had.
Could use some love, keep looking. Yes, all the previous reviews about the convenient location and comfy beds are spot on but the house itself needs some help or a better level of expectation when booking. Home is not well maintained, faulty wiring (whole house flickered when turning off a bedroom light) and chipping paint. The refrigerator would not close properly so the “Door Open” alarm went off the entire time we were there. It took some dedicated finesse to get it to turn off. The single bathroom has the original claw foot tub. While very charming, climbing in and out and dealing with the curtain surround took some acrobatics. We have stayed at many River West homes and by far, this was the most disappointing one.

Great location and price. Mediocre condition of property. Some potential hazards.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage in downtown Bend. It was very relaxing to walk everywhere from Jackson’s Corner am breakfast to floating the river and shopping at the Old Mill or down town. The home is cozy and was always a nice temperature after a hot day outside. This is our second summer staying in this cottage and hope to return in the future! Bill was great and replied to our questions right away, A perfect location too!
The host Bill was great. He responded to my questions super quick. The cottage was perfect for my husband and our small dog. It was clean and stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The king size bed was so comfortable. The yard is fenced so it was perfect for our dog . The cottage is located right next to the river, so we enjoyed taking our dog down there in the morings and evenings for a walk. Definitely a place we would love to stay at again when we are back in town visiting our family.
dog.
Came down for a concert and to see family. We were able to walk everywhere including Downtown, the Amphitheater and the put in/take out for the River float. Our days started with walks on the River trail. The house had everything we needed and was super clean. Loved the history of the house that the owner shared. Would stay there again
Check in had some hiccups but it wasn't nothing to sweat as ultimately all went okay. Loved the location. Bed is on the firmer side. Bathroom is small but the location is what we loved. Close to everything.
The house is a on cool quiet little street right about 3 houses down from the river, 2 streets away from parks and the tuning rapids. Our flights were all changed due to the weather and the owner was extremely understanding and flexible! Our family had an incredible time in Bend and will be back again.

Wouldn't stay again
We appreciate the history to this old house. However, the house had the smell of old, damaged wood which is camouflaged by fumey things. Inside was clean. Location was good, neighborhood kinda ratty. The really negative for us was, they knew we were coming with our dog and the grass was so tall. The whole yard was awful.
Perfect little home in the heart of everything Bend!
Everything we needed and the location was absolutely perfect. Close to downtown, Old Mill District, river and the amphitheater. Couldn't have been easier to get around. Thanks.
