Burgundy, cottage in a wooden chalet near Vézelay.
Chalet all in wood, 2 hours south of Paris, for weekends, weeks, or more .. for 2 to 3 people. Change of scenery guaranteed in contact with woods and nature, on a large plot, ideal for a quiet holiday.
(In high season, July and August, arrivals and departures on Saturdays only).
Privileged welcome from the owners who will be able to give you, if you wish, all the information or documentation to make the most of your stay and the very touristy region. 'Little paradise' for lovers of hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, river trips or fishing trips (river at 500m, La Cure, 2nd category, ponds at 12km), without forgetting gastronomy and wines regional if renowned. Free internet access on the site. Rates all charges included, sheets and pillowcases provided. (open from April to November) (A la carte stays: weekends, weeks, fortnights or more ...).(Rates indicated for 2 people; in all seasons, Additional person: 20 € / person / week).(Tourist tax: 0.60 € / night / adults). WK rental possibility outside July and August: € 139/2 nights / 2 people. (additional night: 60 €) Possibility of final cleaning package: 45 €. A friendly animal accepted. Holiday vouchers accepted.
Tourist route: Visit the old town of Avallon, and its ramparts, followed by the Cousin Valley, a small stream that flows like a torrent (old restored mills, walks in the woods), then, arrival at Saint Père sous Vézelay, church in Flamboyant Gothic, real stone lace, museum, and access among the vineyards of Vézelien to the village of Vézelay, at the top of an imposing hill flanked by a Basilica of 120m long, the most long of Europe, real masterpiece of architecture, classified World Heritage by Unesco, one of the departures for Santiago de Compostela.
Continue by discovering the 'Salt Fountains', ancient Gallo Roman baths, then the charming village of Pierre Perthuis, and the Château de Bazoches, home of Marshal Vauban, before joining the Morvan lakes, the Crescent Lake.
