There are two additional vacation apartments in the building, accommodating 4 and 6 people, respectively.
The Accommodation
The stylish half-timbered apartment, with its charming exposed beams, offers high-quality amenities and space for 6 guests. To make you feel right at home, we’ve provided all the amenities you’ll need.
Start your day with a delicious NESPRESSO coffee or a warm cup of tea at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave with a grill, a NESPRESSO coffee machine, a kettle, a toaster, and everything you need to cook delicious meals. Of course, you’ll also find plenty of coffee capsules, various types of tea, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and sugar in the kitchen.
To ensure you get a first-class night’s sleep, the first bedroom features a large king-size bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m) awaits you, and in the second bedroom, a cozy queen-size bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m) with hotel-quality bedding. For the 5th and 6th guests, there’s a comfortable sleeper sofa (1.40 m x 2.00 m) with a slatted frame and mattress in the separate living room/bedroom. The bedrooms are equipped with soundproof blackout curtains, so nothing will disturb your night’s sleep. You’ll find USB charging ports for your smartphone on the nightstands. There’s a wardrobe with wooden hangers and several compartments for your clothes. If you’re on a business trip, the desk in the bedroom is perfect for working comfortably right from our apartment. And of course, you can use our high-speed Wi-Fi for free.
In the spacious combined living room and bedroom, you can make yourself comfortable on the large, cozy corner sleeper sofa and wind down the evening in front of the 55" Samsung HD TV with Netflix, Magenta TV, and RTL+. The large solid-wood table offers plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a nice dinner, play a board game—you’ll find a selection in the apartment—or simply sit together and relax.
In the naturally lit bathroom with a rain shower, you can start your day feeling refreshed. Of course, we provide fresh towels and items such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo and body wash, and a hair dryer.
If you have dirty laundry, you can wash and dry it in the washer and dryer. The necessary laundry detergent is available free of charge. You can also use the iron and ironing board to get your clothes wrinkle-free again. The washing machine and dryer are available to you in the basement.
In the courtyard, you can make yourself comfortable in the shared seating area and perhaps strike up a conversation with other vacationers or reflect on the day over a glass of Palatinate wine.
A beer table set is available for your use at no charge. You’re also welcome to use your own grill in the courtyard.

We’re renting out a stylishly designed and modernly furnished half-timbered house with 3 separate vacation apartments for up to 16 people in total—perfect for relaxing and enjoying your vacation—complete with private parking spaces. You’re right in the heart of Kandel, and the town center and all major shops are within walking distance. We’re about 700 m from the train station. Karlsruhe and the German Wine Gate are about 15–20 km away.

The dining table in Apartment 2 (1st floor) extends to 3.00 x 1.10 m, so there’s room for all guests in the house.
To ensure you get a first-class night’s sleep, three bedrooms feature a large king-size bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), and the other two bedrooms each feature a cozy queen-size bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m). Each of the three living rooms features a comfortable sleeper sofa (2x 1.40 m x 2.00 m, 1x 1.80 m x 2.00 m) with a luxury topper or a slatted frame with a mattress. We use hotel-quality bedding on all beds. The bedrooms are equipped with soundproof blackout curtains, ensuring that nothing disturbs your sleep. You’ll find plenty of outlets and USB charging ports on the nightstands for your smartphone. For your clothes, there are wardrobes and clothes racks with wooden hangers and multiple compartments.
A travel crib with a mattress is available for free use in every apartment.

There is an additional restroom with natural light on the first floor. Of course, we provide fresh towels and essentials such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.

On-site costs: We provide high-quality bed linens and towels. You’ll also find a welcome kit with coffee and tea. Free parking is available in the courtyard. Check-in is from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival; check-out is by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. A beer table set is available for free use in the courtyard. You may use your own grill in the courtyard. Exploring the area around the accommodation The house is located in the heart of Kandel. The street consists mainly of residential buildings. Across the street is a traditional butcher shop offering regional specialties, among other items. All other shops for daily necessities, as well as restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, and specialty stores, are within easy walking distance. Kandel is situated in the middle of the Bienwald, a forested area covering approximately 120 square meters. Other attractions in Kandel include a climbing park called “Fun Forrest Kandel” and a soccer golf park called “Fußballgolfpark Südpfalz.” If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, Karlsruhe is just a “stone’s throw” away—about 15 km—and is always worth a visit, whether for shopping or sightseeing. France and the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach are also very close by (20 km) and well worth a visit. About 45 km away lies the Palatinate Forest (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you can experience nature at its finest while hiking or biking. Of course, there are many more beautiful destinations in and around Kandel, which is why we’ve provided informational materials at your lodging to help you plan additional leisure activities.
