"Alte Schmiede" Holiday Farm, Pure country charm for all nature lovers, families, and cycling and hiking enthusiasts. You’ll find our holiday farm quietly situated on the outskirts of the small village of Birkach, overlooking meadows and forests in the heart of the Haßberge Nature Park in the German Burgenwinkel region, between the cultural cities of Bamberg, Coburg, and Schweinfurt. Discover mystical castles and ruins, hidden little swimming lakes, and tranquil half-timbered towns along winding hiking trails and varied bike paths. Or relax in the area’s thermal baths. Whether you’re travelling as a family or as a couple, we have the perfect holiday rental for you. Our “outdoors”—a bit wild and untamed—will delight you! Whether you’re stargazing by the campfire, letting off steam on our football field or the giant trampoline, or playing foosball in the garden shed, we’ve got plenty of space for you! And all of this is practically right in the heart of nature! We also have an electric car charging station in the courtyard, storage space for e-bikes, and always a few “insider tips” for our favourite hikes and bike rides right on our doorstep. This is the smaller version of our two-family apartments. But with two bedrooms, it offers plenty of space for people of all ages. The children’s room is furnished with a bunk bed, and from the master bedroom, you’ll enjoy an idyllic view of our playground and the football field. The apartment, with a fully equipped kitchenette and a cosy round dining table, is located half a floor below. The wooden staircase leading from the living area up to the bedrooms is a particularly beautiful design feature. From the balcony, you can enjoy idyllic country life with a view of ducks and chickens. Check-in is from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys are handed over in person on site. Pets are not allowed. Cot: available.
