Owner says property cannot be used for short-term rental

The first thing to know about this listing is that it is in violation if the building rules. The owner called me just before the start of the rental - and too late to make other arrangements - that short-term rentals are not permitted, that we were not to use the vrbo website for communications, and we were to lie about our relationship to the owner if we met other occupants in the building. We would not have rented this unit had we known any of that beforehand.

Lovely apartment, fabulous location

Lovely apartment...so open...high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows make it feel much bigger than it is...communication and check in/out process was very easy...I'd stay there again in a heartbeat...

Nice place, great area, and building

Very staring forward condo. Smells nice and very comfortable. WiFi works great and all that. I suggest reading all the rules before deciding to book. There are quite a few. Also, the ice machine is intentionally disabled on the fridge. However, you can go to 7/11 and buy some ice. I would stay again for the price.

Perfect location, great buidling, so comfortable

This condo is better than perfect for two people, and the photos and description don't do the condo justice. The building is clean, quiet and in a perfect location to walk all over the city. It's dog friendly! Obviously, in the heart of Little Italy, but easy walks to Gaslamp, the harbor area, Petco Park and even Balboa Park. No street noise, no airport noise and only the slighest train whistle sounds that never bothered us. The loft is so bright and cheery, we always felt we were coming "home". The kitchen was well stocked with a great array of cooking needs--all appliances were top notch, and the washing machine and drier were lifesavers; and the bathroom was very good with plenty of hot water and great pressure. The loft was recently remodled with excellent taste and top quality touches, so the bed, tv, sofa and dining area were a great. We would stay again and again! Great restaurants within easy walking and don't miss Saturday's Little Italy Famer's market...we stocked up for our week's stay.
