It is considered to be one of San Diego’s most historic and architecturally eclectic areas because of its numerous pre-1900 homes and apartments. Golden Hill is a haven for artists and musicians and is home to Black Box Recording Studios, The Habitat Recording Studios, Influx Café, Turf Supper Club, Krakatoa and Pizzeria Luigi. Golden Hill hosts two outdoor concerts each year, The Golden Hill Block Party and Kate Sessions Fest, which are free, all-ages events put on by local artists and musicians.
