In the old garden of our Eifel farmhouse, a historic circus wagon awaits its guests. We lovingly restored and converted the 8-meter-long and 2.5-meter-wide larchwood wagon, furnishing it comfortably in a combination of nostalgic Eifel charm and French country style, perfectly complementing our stone house. For those seeking an extraordinary getaway in a unique atmosphere, the circus wagon is just the thing! The circus wagon in the old garden is located at the entrance to a picturesque Eifel village. The accommodation is a favourite spot for 1-3 people looking for an exceptional break in a special atmosphere. Enjoy nostalgic country house charm, slow down, hike, stroll, cycle, circle the Eifel volcanic lakes, discover the small nearby half-timbered village of Monreal, enjoy the countryside, garden and nature surrounding the accommodation, and experience the clear Eifel starry sky. All this and much more is possible here! The old larchwood wagon is framed by our farmhouse (house name Baure), built around 1880, a field, the village street, and fruit trees. Above our 500 sq m property, a short dirt track leads from the main road to a small wooden gate, behind which the circus wagon is located. Outdoor terrace: Passing through the gate, you'll see a small garden area to the right, furnished with a nostalgic beer garden set, a grill, and deck chairs. This area is exclusively for the use of the circus wagon's guests and is separated from the field, our house, and the neighbouring house by a picket fence. Wagon Terrace: The covered, original outdoor terrace overlooking the field offers an idyllic spot for breakfast. Living Area: The heart of the wagon is a cosy, spacious living area furnished with old finds and antique treasures. A chest bench, a kitchen table with drawers, a Windsor chair, and a wingback chair combine to create a homely place for eating, playing, relaxing, and sharing stories. Wood Stove: On cold evenings, a small wood stove provides comforting warmth. Infrared heaters installed in the living room and bathroom ensure a constant base temperature. Desk: Opposite the stove is a desk made from an old window shutter. It is equipped with ample Bakelite electrical sockets and, thanks to good Wi-Fi, can even be used as a home office. Kitchen: Fully equipped with a spacious work surface, ceramic sink, two-burner cooktop, vintage-style oven, roomy refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, French press, mixer, and hand blender, cooking and baking are a pleasure even in a small space. A selection of spices, oil, sugar, tea, and coffee is also provided. Bedroom: The bedroom, overlooking the fields, is separated from the living room by an original sliding door. Inside is a custom-designed and built double bed (140 x 200 cm) for two people with a sleeping berth above (75 x 200 cm) for a child or another mobile person. The built-in wardrobe offers space for jackets, clothes, and a travel bag with shelves, hooks, and a clothes rail. A side table, equipped with games and magazines, provides entertainment on rainy days. Snuggling up on the pillows in the evening and watching a film is also possible thanks to the smart TV. Bathroom: On the opposite side, the bathroom, also integrated into the caravan, is separated from the living area by a sliding door. With a toilet, a chest of drawers converted into a washbasin, and a shower tiled with Italian tiles and equipped with a vintage faucet, the bathroom offers maximum comfort in a very small space. Record player and internet radio: A special evening becomes even more special with the right music. For this purpose, the circus wagon not only features a retro-style internet radio, but also an original 1957 suitcase record player, ready to spin a vinyl record. A dirt track leads from the main road above our property to a small wooden gate, behind which the circus wagon is hidden. The circus wagon, with its small outdoor area and terrace, is separated from the field, our house, and the neighbouring house by a picket fence and is exclusively for the use of the circus wagon's guests.Excursion destinations: The idyllic half-timbered village of Monreal, the Nürburgring, the Ulmener Maar, the Booser Doppelmaar with its Eiffel Tower, Bürresheim Castle, Cochem on the Moselle, the Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach on Lake Laach, the town of Mayen, and so much more... Around the accommodation, walking paths with fantastic views lead through meadows and fields. and forests. A small highlight is certainly the Ditscheid "hanging bench" with a view of the extinct volcano Hochbermel (which, incidentally, can also be seen from the bedroom window of the circus wagon). In the Ditscheid landscape park, there is a large oak disc inscribed with dates. The corresponding oak tree, called the Baure Oak, stood on our property for 280 years. Just a few metres from the property is a playground with a ping-pong table. Ping-pong paddles and balls are available in the accommodation.
