Watch Island is an amazing getaway. Our families enjoyed everything from the fire pits, swimming, fishing, boating, water slide, cliff jumping, etc. the lake is endless but very quiet with little boat traffic. Will be back next year. The owner and caretaker were great as well.
Wonderful week, beautiful property and location. The owner's pre-arrival briefing and the property manager's familiarization tour of the property were thorough and complete. We had no problems during the week, everything excellent.
This place was amazing, the serenity and peace there were indescribable. We had 3 generations of family for our trip. Virtually everything was taken care of and thought out. From the cozy fires to the gathering for meals was enjoyed by all. The beds were comfy and cozy after the long days enjoyed boating, floating, fishing and kayaking. If you get the chance to go this is well worth it and I would definitely recommend for anyone.

Watch Island 2016
Great set up! Love the many docks, that's nice for guests to have time to get away from the rest of the group for a bit. And the scenery is just gorgeous. I do love the kitchen cabin and deck area. It was an awesome week and you've done a wonderful job with the upgrades.
I'm happy to read that there will be another "outhouse", it was inconvenient to only have one bathroom when it was shared the room with the shower. That'll make a huge difference.
Great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Island to another family, especially with dogs.
Thanks again!!!

The septic system was replaced which services the main cabin and bathroom cabin. The outhouse located nearby was damaged during this process. A new outhouse is in the process of being built to replace the old unit and is scheduled to be completed by August 15, 2016. This will provide a backup toilet if the bathroom cabin is in use.
It's really such a beautiful, peaceful, unique place. My kids didn't ask for a damn device all week :) Honestly, I hesitate to post my review for fear it won't be available next season. Go if you can. Watch Island is wonderful. Much thanks to Ron. We'll be back very soon.
Our family group of 5 adults and 3 dogs have had a marvellous week at Watch Island. We found the property very comfortable and well supplied, especially in terms of kitchen equipment. We had keen cooks amongst us who took full advantage of the facilities. The island is lovely, as is the lake. We spent a week of excellent weather hiking, exploring the lake, using the water slide, kayaking, sailing and best of all relaxing around the bonfire as the sun set. A very special week.

We had a wonderful time on Watch Island. It was the perfect get away. Everyone had a great time.
My wife was amazed and wanted you to know that in her opinion you have thought of everything. From plenty of towels to the wonderful blueberry plates and bowls.
Thanks for everything and we hope to return again.

Watch island
This is an amazing place!! The lake is beautiful and the cottages are awesome. The place is just as the owner describes. The lake is so quiet it's almost like a private lake! We went with 4 adults and 5 kids (age 6-11) and had plenty of room. We had fun swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, sliding!, and more. I highly recommend.

A Very Special Place
We have rented several camps in Tupper Lake but none have rivaled this one. We were a little worried about renting an island bit this one has everything you need to make your stay perfect and is just a short (5 to 10 minutes) boat ride from the main land. The cabins are very clean and nice. The bathroom is very nice as well. The main cabin has new appliances and beautiful views. The rental comes with a pontoon boat which would be very expensive to rent (and there are no rentals in tupper lake). It also comes with canoes kayaks and more. The owner and caretaker were very accommodating and responsive. If you want to experience the Adirondacks I would highly recommend you give this place a try.

Why they chose this property
This is a private island you will have exclusive use of. It is water access only with a pontoon boat for access to the mainland and use of the lake. The boat slip is located 1.1 miles across the lake and takes about 10 minutes. There is parking across the road from the boat dock for vehicles. Need to be an experienced motor boater with a state certified boating certificate.
What makes this property unique
Watch Island can be your own private adventure vacation with full use of its unique outdoor activities both on the land or water. You can also use it for a secluded private getaway or anything in between. You will find it to be versatile and accommodating. I provide a pontoon boat to travel between the mainland slip to the island. You need to be an experienced boater with a state certified boating certificate to operate and use the pontoon boat.
