A beautiful beach front, 3 bedroom townhouse with privacy, completely equipped and decorated by an acclaimed interior designer, with a warm and elegant approach, blending with the surrounding beauty. Located in the most Luxurious Resort in Samana. We are merely 150 feet away from the beach, only separated by a small local road. It has 3 bedrooms upstairs, air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans: master bedroom with king size bed, 2nd bedroom with two queen size beds, and the 3rd with two full size beds and two bunk beds on top. Each bedroom has a full bathroom with hair dryer. Large living room area, half a bathroom, dining room for 8, kitchen with Viking Professional appliances, a spectacular outdoor terrace with an integrated living room and a 12 person dining table. There is an outdoor BBQ next to the infinity pool overlooking the beach. An extra small bedroom with integrated bathroom for maid or nanny. Free cable TV and WIFI included. Maid for daily cleaning and your own private cook is included in the price, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Stereo system available to connect by bluetooth from your phone.

This is a private enclosed resort, so kids can move around freely and safely.

It has a private beach with a strikingly beautiful beach house club called “Porto” with a bar and a restaurant, a beach front spa, three beautiful pools, fitness center, children playground, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking rent center.

We recommend renting a car/ATV´s to move around de village and to visit near by beaches. It is a wonderful place for families as well as for couples. Sunset at the beach is spectacular. We recommend a day trip to El Limón Waterfalls, Playa Bonita Beach, Playa Rincon beach, Playa Moron Beach, Cosón beach or a boat trip to Cayo Levantado.

The Village of Las Terrena’s is located 5 minutes by car from the resort. Here you can find a great deal of small and cozy restaurants, all with a fresh taste of local products such as fish, lobsters, shrimps, oysters, crabs, etc.

Catey International Airport (AZS) is the closest airport in the Samana Peninsula. It is located about 30 minutes from the resort and American, Air Canada, JetBlue Airways is offering direct flights twice weekly from New York’s JFK Airport and Miami (MIA). Alternatively, next closest is Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) Santo Domingo, which is 2 hours away from the resort, but has many airline options for you to choose from. Best way is to arrange transportation in advanced from the airport to Las Terrenas.

During the ride from the SDQ airport you will enjoy the most breathtaking sceneries in the Caribbean. You will travel through Los Haitises National Park, and climb the northern Samaná mountain range. Here you will be able to have a view of Samana Bay, the largest humpback whale breeding ground in the world.

We loved our stay!! Maria was welcoming and helped us with anything that we could imagine and made some delicious meals. It was wonderful to have the option of the pool at the house, the complex pools and then the beach right across the street. We also enjoyed dining at Porto several times and loved having that so close for meal options or a beach happy hour watching the sunset. Our first time in Las Terrenas and Humberto's place made us fall in love!!

Amazing Vacation

This was one of the best vacations we have had, everything was amazing! The house was perfect, very clean and spacious. The house location is across the street from the beach but had very easy access. The beach was gorgeous, clean and allowed us to walk for miles. All excusions and restaurants are near which was very convenient. Maria was honestly one of the best aspects of the trip. Having her at the house to help with cooking and cleaning was an extra bonus! We loved having her around every day! We can not think of one thing we would have changed! Thank you for having us!

The house was fantastic! Maria is a gem of a person and so kind to everyone. She helped make the entire experience run smoothly and gave us the ability to really enjoy our time in Las Terrenas. A wonderful place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the villa! Ivonne, the owner, was very kind, supportive and always took the time to answer immediately to all questions we would ask, offer great advice and ideas, and overall did her best to make our stay pleasant and memorable! Maria was an amazing cook, and a wonderful person, and offered us a beautiful glimpse into local cuisine and life. Las Terrenas is definitely a beautiful area to spend some quality time with family and friends, and the Villa was exactly as shown on the pictures: clean, comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated.

Absolute Paradise

Pictures don’t do this property justice and we can’t wait to go back. Maria was incredible and patient with us as we attempted to speak Spanish to navigate menu selections. She spoiled us and prepared some of the best chicken we’ve ever tasted. This property is stunning and the host is extremely responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time; a trip my wife and kids and I will never forget. We absolutely loved the house. Very comfortable and really perfect in every way. Especially the outdoor area. Very relaxing. Great location as you’re just a very short walk to a great beach, and a short drive to other beaches if you want a change of pace. Very close to Las Terrenas and it’s restaurants. Our family of five had a great vacation and definitely recommend this house to others. Ivonne was very helpful with advice on activities. Terrenas Paradise

The property is as described and very family friendly. Across from a very calm beach and fantastic beach club house, Porto. The pool was great and quiet and the kiddie pool is great for kids 5 and under. Everything was fantastic but there are some things that make this property a must stay, Maria and the property owners. Maria cooked and cleaned, did our laundry and was just such a pleasure. She was able to keep our large group very pleased with her cooking skills. The owners, they were there for every question and concern and very prompt at communicating. They are true hosts and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were happy. Overall I highly recommend staying at this property when in Las Terrenas.

A Heavenly Stay: Safety, Service, and Serenity for Families

We spent 7 days in this heavenly place, and I can confirm that what you see in the photos is even better in person. We were 3 families with 5 young children, and I can assure you that the place is very safe. You just need to cross the street (with the help of a security guard who stops the traffic) to get to the private beach. Yvonne and Humberto were amazing and very helpful, answering our numerous questions before arrival and even while we were there, which is invaluable for people traveling in a foreign country. We loved the place so much that we are already planning to return. Not to forget the invaluable help from Maria. My advice would be to have some basic knowledge of Spanish or to have a translation app to simplify conversations with Maria, as she only speaks Spanish. Once again, thank you for everything.

Las Terrenas is a hidden gem, and this property makes the most of it!

This was our first trip to the Dominican Republic and the Samana region. Las Terrenas was as advertised. It has a rustic charm that won our hearts. Beautiful beaches, friendly people, very affordable. Very few English speaking people among the population, so brush up on your Spanish! As the DR is a developing nation, you do need to be comfortable navigating roads and an environment that can be rough around the edges. We always felt safe, and the resort community has a solid security presence. The Samana province does not suffer from the same crime as other parts of the country (Santo Domingo) but you do need to practice common sense. The house itself was fantastic. Our chef and housekeeper, Maria, made our stay very enjoyable. We enjoyed her homestyle cooking all week. Again, brush up on your Spanish. Translation became a challenge at times, but we managed. The owners were also a tremendous help in preparing for our trip, and even communicating with us while onsite if/when we had questions. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Las Terrenas!

Perfection!

Our 10 days at Balcones were as perfect as you can get. It started with how responsive Ivonnne was when booking. He helped us with everything! The trip was easy. WestJet flies into El Catey, which is only 35 minutes from Balcones. Once we arrived...the location is wonderful. The beach was long and pristine (not to mention almost empty during the week). The house is like something from a magazine. 3 bedrooms, a full living and dining room and a great kitchen. We spent almost no time in any of those because the outdoor living room was so amazing. Our family of 4 (10 and 14 year old daughters) and 3 grandparents fit perfectly. The property and pools are immaculately kept. Beyond the incredible luxury of the house was the considerable talents of Maria, who cooks breakfast and lunch each day. Maria makes scrumptious local cuisine with fresh juices and smoothies, eggs, pancakes, and fruit for breakfast. Lunches were our big meal...fish, seafood, pasta, and many Dominican side dishes. The modern Super Polo grocery store in town (and also the French patisserie and the fisherman's market) provided all the food we could want. We went into Las Terrenas for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner but otherwise we were very happy at the house. Balcones is a Dominican vacation resort, populated by locals. The staff speaks Spanish so Google translate was a huge help. Maria was very good at using charades to make sure I was understanding her. I can't say enough about how perfect this place is. Would be great for a large family or two families of four.

Beautiful property in a hidden gem of DR!

Our family of five stayed here for 3 nights during thanksgiving break and we enjoyed every minute!! Throughout the inquiry and booking process Ivonne has been extremely helpful and patiently answering all my questions in detail. She provided useful tips and even arranged car service for us from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas. She also accommodated us on a few other requests which we really appreciated. You are in good hands and won't find a better rental property owner than her. The property is exactly what's described on the website and the virtual tour. We loved the tasteful decor throughout the house and the beautiful furniture. The appliances are all professional grade (Viking) and there's a washer and dryer onsite. The owner Ivonne and Humberto spared no expenses by supplying high quality household products from high end bath towels, shampoos, conditioners, laundry detergents and such. The attention to such detail shows the owners care about its guests. In addition, there's drinking water provided which is a huge plus. The deck is well appointed and is a great place to hang out. We didn't utilize the outdoor pool/jacuzzi since the water was a little on the cold side. This was not an issue for us since the community pool and the beautiful beach are only steps away. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and calm even though it's on the Atlantic side. We enjoyed lounging around at Porto and walking on the beach. Las Terrenas is a hidden gem in DR and you won't regret it. This property is in a gated community so we always felt very safe. The ground crew worked constantly to maintain the high end appreance of the resort. We want to give special recognition to the lovely and hard working housekeeper Maria!! Without her our experience wouldn't be the same. She's such a genuine person with a kind heart and always aims to please. She's also a WONDERFUL cook and we enjoyed every meal she prepared!! Our 5 yr old misses her and wish we could take her back with us. I can go on and on but you get the picture.😄😄 The only minor downside is the noise of traffic from the narrow road between the house and the beach. However, when the doors and windows are closed you can barely hear them. Overall we would go back in a heartbeat and hopefully in the near future! Thank you Ivonne, Maria and Humberto! Li Z

Great Stay in Las Terrenas

The property was as advertised. The outdoor space was great to have morning coffee and breakfast everyday. Maria was amazing with her fresh squeezed juices in the morning and wonderful Dominican dishes for evening dinners. We enjoyed the location of the Townhouse so close to the ocean with some views. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The noise from the street sometimes did get a little loud but all in all a great stay in a beautiful location.

A little piece of heaven

My family and I stayed for five days at this beautiful home and had a wonderful time. The house was well equipped with staple pantry needs and utensils. Very grateful for Maria, who was there every day commanding the kitchen, cleaning, and doing laundry. The location felt safe and the people were very welcoming. The only downside was that there is a road between the beach and properties in this area. The weekend we stayed at was a long holiday weekend which made it quite busy with motorcycles and cars. I assume, it is not always the case, but good for people to know. Humberto was very attentive to all of our needs and would highly recommend this spot.

Belle maison mais dans une zone très bruyante !

La maison est magnifique, cosy et agréable à vivre à l’intérieur. En revanche la maison est située en bord de route et il s’agit de l’unique route qui rallie les différentes villes du coin. Le bruit est donc incroyablement important et il est difficile et compliqué d’y vivre surtout avec des enfants en bas âges. En effet en dehors du bruit qui est omniprésent et très élevé (moto, camion, voitures avec la musique à fond et les fenêtre ouvertes) de 6h à 22h et qui empêche de se prélasser sur la belle terrasse et piscine, la présence de la route est dangereuse pour des petits enfants malgré la barrière. De plus le trafic était fortement inférieur à la normal à à cause du Covid et de l’absence de touristes. Je n’imagine donc pas ce que cela doit être en temps normal. Le bruit est moins présent à l’intérieur car maison bien insonorisé mais cela perd de son intérêt. D’autre part, il est important de préciser que Maria, la maid, est tout le temps présente. Celle ci nous prépare des bons repas et fait le ménage mais est tout le temps présente. Et son travail génère de la nuisance sonore et de la présence également. Quand on sait qu’on ne peut pas vraiment être tranquille dehors à cause du bruit c’est embêtant car on ne retrouve pas cette tranquillité totale à l’intérieur également. D’autant plus lorsque vous avez des enfants en très bas âges (3 ans et 1 mois). Point qui a son importance sur Maria : la langue. Maria ne parle uniquement espagnol. Enfin il est primordial de souligner l’extrême professionnalisme d’Humberto, le propriétaire des lieux, qui est très arrangeant et conciliant. Cela a permis de transformer des situations délicates assez rapidement et cela nous a été d’une grande aide. Conclusion : maison de rêve s’il n’y avait pas la route bruyante en face.

We had been looking for some beachfront property for a long time until we found this amazing property. Its breathtaking, set along a pristine bay lined with swaying palm trees, lush vegetation and shallow waters of pure white sand. The beach is our backyard!

Peaceful private oceanfront view. Back patio overlooking the ocean and private pool. Enough space so kids could play in the background or host big dinner parties. Freedom so that everyone can do as they like.
