Half-timbered house on the Mandau

Our Cosy Half-Timbered House
Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of a genuine half-timbered house. Our lovingly furnished rooms and our log-cabin-style living room will help make your stay special.
With a living area of approximately 120 m², a rustic log-paneled living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and dining room, a bathroom, a separate bathroom, and a spacious hallway, the half-timbered house offers plenty of space for your family holiday. A free parking space is available directly across from the Umgebindehaus.
We appreciate your interest in the Umgebindehaus on the Mandau. Until 2018, this holiday home was our own family home. Since then, we have completely renovated it and lovingly furnished it.
We hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do, feel right at home, and that we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming you soon. We’d be happy to reserve your desired holiday dates.

Frau Hanisch, die Vermieterin empfing uns sehr freundlich und war auch bei Problemen besonders hilfsbereit.Das Umgebindehaus ist umfangreich renoviert. Es hat auch für heutige Ansprüche große Zimmer, 2 im Erdgeschoss und zwei im OG. Die Räume sind niedriger als heutiger Standard. Ein nachträglicher Anbau bringt Platz für eine moderne Küche, ein modernes Bad auch die Zentralheizung und einen Waschraum. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit allem was man sich wünscht. Das Esszimmer ist hell und hat einen großen Tisch, der auch für 6 Personen reichen würde. Das große Wohnzimmer hat Wände aus Blockbohlen (Umgebindehaus). Das Haus war an kühlen Abenden ebenso wie an heißen Tagen angenehm. Gemütliche Laube im Garten. Im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt. Der von uns bevorzugte Bäcker hat ungewohnte Öffnungszeiten.Ruhige Lage, auch die Besuchermagnete sind woanders. Optimal für Wanderungen und Ausflüge: Man kommt mit dem Auto schnell zu den wichtigsten Wanderrouten und kann mit der Gästekarte per Zug direkt nach Zittau und von dort nach Görlitz fahren; auch Bautzen wäre so erreichbar. Mit dem Auto würde es mindestens gleich lang dauern. Wir waren zu dritt zwei Wochen hier und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, das Haus und die Landschaft sind etwas Besonderes.
