There are no bright lights. Nearby activities include beaches, golf, dining, fishing, shopping, boating, charter fishing, turtle and dolphin watching and day trips either north to Wilmington or south to Myrtle Beach. A visit to Calabash is a must for local eating venues and special shopping. Ocean Isle beach is one of the best kept secrets in the Carolinas.

Condo was clean and as advertised. They are doing construction on the building. This didn't affect the view from our condo. This was not an issue for us. Location was excellent. Beach was very clean.

A Little Slice Of Heaven

We love staying at the property. The owners are fabulous and communicate so well. They are friendly and truly care that our family enjoys staying at their home. We love everything about the condo including the location, the amenities, the space for our family and most importantly the simplicity of the check in check out process. We love escaping to Ocean Isle and staying at the wonderful spot on the island.

Our Getaway

We wanted to get away to the beach for a couple of days and saw this listing on VRBO. The condo was ocean front and had everything you would need! The weather did not completely cooperate but we did get a walk on the beach and a round of golf. Would defintely come back and recommend!

Nice condo. Not enough storage space to put food in. TV in living room didnt work after a day there but told the owner not to worry about it. Think it would be nice for the owner to put a guest book in there to sign for people to comment on. Overall great weather and nice week.

I do give a sheet!

It was a perfect stay but didn't like having to have the sheets cleaned before leaving as well as purchasing the detergent to clean them. I'd never experienced that before. Would rather pay a larger cleaning fee strip my beds and go. Other then that it was a wonderful place to stay.

Ocean Isle Beach is what you want it to be

Our week stay at this condo was one of the most relaxing we ever had. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Those rocking chairs on the balcony were the best! The elevator and utility carts came in handy to unload even though we were only one flight up. Tom and Sandy were easy to work with and responded promptly to any questions we had. If you want peace and quiet, the Island is for you. If you want a little more action, Myrtle Beach and all it offers is only a short ride away. After a round of golf, we had a wonderful lunch at the Brick Landing Plantation in Ocean Isle. We even went back for Sunday brunch. (Make reservations for the brunch.) We also had a great meal at the Boundary House Restaurant in Calabash (20 minutes away). They offer everything from burgers and sandwiches to seafood, steaks and prime rib. I hope your stay is as wonderful as ours was and I look forward to coming back.

A Glimpse of Paradise

I stayed here with my 3 children (ages 7, 9, and 15) last week, and we had an absolute blast! The place was clean and cozy. I loved the ocean view from the balcony--I sat out there almost every morning before the kids got up, and every night after the kids went to bed. The kids loved looking for crabs on the beach at night. I would recommend renting linens to make the checkout process smooth. I rented all of my sheets, which made things easy the morning of checkout. I washed all of my towels the night before to make sure I could get them all dry before checkout. The dryer is loud and takes awhile to dry, but it eventually got the job done. The owner is aware and has had it looked at. I have no doubt he will follow up on it to make sure it gets fixed/replaced. I would definitely recommend!

Property is beautiful! You get the best of both worlds with the ocean being right outside the condo and the pool for when you've had enough of the sand! Checking in was a breeze! Tom was extremely responsive when posed any questions. We had no issues while we stayed. Beautiful,quiet, family friendly community! Will definitely be booking our next stay at the Windjammer

Sandy and Tom have lived in NC since 1996, moving down from Syracuse, NY. We have also lived in Harrisburg, PA, Va Beach, Atlanta, Roanoke, VA, and Bel Air, MD. We have been married 49 years, have five grown children and ten grand children. We purchased this property on Feb 20, 2014 and are planning to both rent and use the property.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach since 1986. We have stayed on and off at the Windjammer since 1999. We have been to many east coast beaches and zeroed in on Ocean Isle for several reasons. We find the water and waves more gentle and less abrasive; one can walk out almost 100 yards without being in water over the head; the east - west beach allows viewing of the sunrise and sunset from the same beach; almost zero incidences of jelly fish; the water temperature is moderate for an extended season of time; the Windjammer is a sturdy steel in concrete building with available covered parking, an extra large pool, and an elevator; the beach is rarely over crowed and tends to be family oriented.
